Proud owner of a copy of Freelancer! 1999 release,PC only. Epic action, well handles starfighting, and some awesome RPG elements. Plus, the story's pretty damn good (so far. I only just got captured the artifact smuggler at the beginning). Also...Freighter+lots of guns=scrapped EVERYTHING.

All my old 2600 games are back at my parent's place. I have a few NES games. TMNT and Dragon Warrior are all I can find.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World. I have the game, but I no longer have the system to play it on.

I think the oldest one i still have is Arcanum. That`s about 10 years or so old, so not that old. And it still is such an amazing game, you got to love it...

I have a copy of FFVII in the box but it doesn't work sadly. Sure if I dig up in the loft I can find much older games... Think there's a full set of old floppies for the commodore Amiga up there.

I haven't got rid of my original Doom floppy disk yet, even though I haven't had a drive that would fit it for the past 2 PCs.

I say physical copy because, PC and Console gamers alike both used to be sold in physical copies before digital distribution. Also so that emulator and digital version of old games wouldn't count. I want to know what is the Oldest ( even if you didn't own it when the game came out but you do now ) game in your library.

(Bonus points if someone still owns a game on floppy disks ).

I didn't get a PC until i was about 10 ( i am 23 now ) , so my oldest game is the original Lengend of zelda for the NES. And i still play it at least once every 2 years just because i find it great.

Your turn .
Woo! I still have my copy of "Sim City 2000" on floppies. I also own "Transport Tycoon Deluxe" on CD.

But my OLDEST games are on cassette - yep, I still have some of my C64 games. (Still love the unlicensed Bond ripoff "Sly Spy".)

I forgot to mention that I also own the original Sim City, which came on a floppy disk. Not as old as Pole Position, which I already mentioned having, but it's on floppy.

Bonus points!

Hmmm... good question.

How are we counting this exactly, though?

I think on some level mine would be Tetris for the Game Boy, released in 1989. Except I bought that in about... 1996/7 or so, so it would be a slightly later release I suppose. Does that count as 1989?

If it does, it would be Tetris. Otherwise... probably Destruction Derby on PS1 from 1995 that I personally own. We got out first PC in 1995 too, and my brother still has Command & Conquer from slightly earlier in the year.

EDIT: Oh, I just remembered... I have a cassette of Hercules: Slayer of the Damned for C64! Apparently, that's from 1988 though... so I only get better by a single year.

Pokemon Blue. First gen represent
*brofist* Exactly the same here. Got it the same day as my Game Boy Color. First gaming console I owned.

Actually, come to think of it, I also got The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX the same day. So, technically the game's older than Pokemon Blue, but the actual cartridge was the GBC re-release, which came out later than Blue Version. It appears the moniker of the oldest game I own physically is a little bit metaphysical.

Do ports count. If so the oldest game I own a physical copy of Resident Evil 2 for gamecube. If not then it would have to be StarCraft. Wait minute if the..... I'm an idiot

I still have frogger and space invaders on Atari 2600. They were my grandma's when I was growing up and I played the crap out of them. She passed them on to me and I try to keep them in good shape. I'll still whip out frogger every now and again. Love that game, great memories too
