SO, everyone in cod4 is flying now

Is the PS3 version of CoD4 bad? This is about the fourth time I've heard of big glitches like this but only the PS3 version.

Well this is the first time I've ever heard of a glitch in the ps3 version, and I've had mine since its release

I didn't think it was bad, I heard all versions are pretty equal. It's probably just coincidence that the glitches I heard about are all on PS3.

it's possible to do it on pc as a cheat but then all you have to do is only go to punkbuster servers and its all good. the only time i ever saw anyone fly in cod4 was the first and last time i went to a server without punkbuster.

Duck Hunt. It's pretty much the opposite of flying... unless you're Player 2 of course...! Hmm.

Seriously though, I don't understand the motivation to cheat like this. I mean, if there was a no-clip game mode, fair enough but otherwise it's essentially trolling - pissing people off for the sake of your failure to socially interact properly.

People just try to glitch more on the PS3 because the accounts are free and the concequences aren't too severe. Where 360 accounts cost money, and the PC version has players running the servers, so if they try there then they will get banned from every server they try to do it on.

I'm reading comments that this is being used on the Xbox 360 version. Is this true? Secondly, how the fuck would you do it on 360, not that I want to it just seems that most of the stuff you have to do would be impossible on 360.

They download it onto a USB Flash drive, plug it into the Xbox, upload it, etc. etc.
That's how you do it on the PS3, at least... I used to have a colored name, and that's how you did it. Then, when IW threatened to ban us, we all changed it back. Also, my message of the week was "Hey, your queer". My cousin wrote that for me...he also gave me my green name.

Yes, but I don't think you can put Xbox 360 saved games on USB sticks, only on memory cards specifically for the 360 which I don't think can be used with a computer. Therefore, you shouldn't be able to do this with a 360.

It hasn't yet? I mean all you have to do is hit tab and type in a code. People are already doing it on pc in some youtube videos I found a while ago.

I was pretty sure that requires that cheats are on, which requires you be a server host.
Unless Infinity Ward doesn't know how to protect their multiplayer servers.

Also I believe the button you meant was Squiggly key (or if you're boring tilde key), Not tab button.

As far as i know its only ps3, could be PC aswell.

I doubt the no-clip is a glitch, activation of it is, but the no-clip is probably built in as a dev tool, most cheat codes are, removing them is generally inefficient, so they're left in.

With both consoles lacking the option for console commands, activating the cheat codes is a bit harder, but once you get them going on one, it's easier to replicate (or spread the affected profile).
