Because Scott is Scott and suddenly releasing things months before the announced date is just how he rolls, the fourth and presumably final Five Nights at Freddy's game just got released the hell out of nowhere. So, here we go!

Anyway, I'm watching the Markiplier playthrough, and here's what I've noticed.

1. Five nights until the party? Looks like it takes place at the same time as the second game and leads up to the Bite of 87, which we'll presumably get to see at the end.

2. The room of the crying child in the introductory minigames doesn't match the one we see in the game proper, making me think that there's two kids here. Crying child is probably either the one that will go to possess the Puppet or the murderer as a child, as the Golden Freddy plushy seems to suggest.

3. We already saw the purple fan and the toy phone in the teaser. Silly cameos or hints as to the kid's identity?

4. I'm guessing that if you don't regularly clear the jittery mini-Freddies off of your bed, they form Freddy himself.

Why did I decide to go on my PC for a minute just before bed... Why?

Watched that video, and God the horror is finally effecting me, and that's just from watching. The way the child approaches the door like that and quickly opens it is quite unnerving, definite reminder of when I was kid. The little Freddys do look silly, though, can't really take them seriously (unless they make a normal sized Freddy that stares at you Golden Freddy style which would be horrifying).

Obviously we're playing as purple guy and this is an ultimate prequel where we develop a deep hatred of mascots and realize there were monsters in the suits the entire time!
Turns out that purple guy was sacrificing children to the evil Gods of mascots in a desperate attempt to forestall the animitronic apocalypse.

At least that's what I gathered from the color of a toy. You gotta' read between the lines a little bit.

So far I've played up to Night 2, haven't beat it yet.
This game is scary, I'm a big baby but this is really scaring me, like I'm having a bit of trouble playing it kind of scared.
It felt a little weird at first, the text box with the scroll arrow kind of made it felt like an RPG, you know what I mean? And the Plushtrap minigame is a nice mechanic but it almost feels a little too game-y, if that makes any sense. These aren't complaints, I'm indifferent to these things, they just felt a little different.
I'm gonna leave any pondering of the player character, location, monsters, etc, I'm gonna save all that for later, I don't want to fry my brain on top of all the goodness-graciousness this game is scaring out of me.

I have watched 8 bit gamings playthrough of night one, and so far I must say it is pretty good and I like how Scott Cawthon has done something different this time around. I was surprised by how much Five Nights at Freddy's storyline has gotten quite a fan following. I wasn't taken by all the hype at first, but 4 games in, I must admit I now find it quite enjoyable. A slow burner to be sure, it is something quite refreshing and different to other games out there.

FNaF 4 is the only game in the series besides the first one to actually make me jump and illicit a loud verbal reaction - I think it's certainly the scariest of them all.

1 and 2 seemed to reward quick reactions and foresight more than anything else, rendering the camera mostly useless after Night 2. 3 was my least favorite, but actually stayed the most true to the mechanic of actually having to LOOK for threats, rather than simply protect yourself from them as they arose. 4 is... god damn, I don't know what to say about it yet, save for the fact that it's just REALLY scary, and it's difficult to divide your attention between the bastards when they barely give any indications where they are or when they'll come for you.

I like that Scott keeps mixing up the formula with each game, and just with the knowledge that we're playing as a kid in a house in this game is already sparking so much discussion. Are we phone guy? the kid who becomes the puppet? purple guy? Mike? I love how there are so many questions. I just hope some of them get answered.

Honestly though, at this point he may as well do a 5th game. Five 5 Nights at Freddy's game just...makes sense. Call each game a single night (and yeah, I know 6th night, etc. etc.)

But yeah, I've been watching Mark play it...because I'm a weenie, but I'm excited to see where it goes.
