so here is my conspiracy theory.... Ubisoft is run by blood mages!

This made me giggle, I must admit. With that said... there are alot of damn games that have "Templars" in them, and not just the historical types. I think even Starcraft had them.

I have been meditating on this question for a while now (why does Ubisoft hate Templars?), and the most reasonable answer is blood mages. It would make sense for the mages to hide their identity and live in France after the Spanish inquisition. Unfortunately during world war 2 the Nazis probably could see past their hidden identities so to remain safe from being taken they were forced to consort with demons. The remaining mages that survived were subdued by the demons and decided to make a propaganda video game company called Ubisoft. And ever since then they have been trying to trick the masses into believing Templars are bad to weaken the Templars power! So the blood mages can take power in the world and enslave us all!

So Escapist what do you think of my little brainstorming their?

Question: Wouldn't blood mages be born of a culture that would have blood sacrifice rituals in its ancient heritage somewhere? The reason blood magic in Shadowrun was associated with descendents of the Aztecs was because of THEIR blood rituals. All this talk of Templars and Nazis and Inquisition is just a series of red herrings formulated into a convoluted answer...

you cant question the power of the mages! this goes back way further than you think, to the founding of new jersy in 5000 B.C! The start of it all was when the mages consorted with demons to help deal with the dinosaurs assaulting the town. they then sent a small group of untainted mages to the Iberian peninsula! It was a time bomb waiting to happen!
