So how warm do you/your family keep your home in the winter time?

Heating in winter is really not required in this country. It doesn't get below about 12°C unless it's the wee hours of the morning when you are (should be?) already in bed, under blankets. The winter daytime temperature is usually around 16°-20° anyway.
Summer here is horrible, though. I keep the aircon running and try to cool the house to 16° or 18°. The 35° to 45° outside is seriously not fun. I don't like it when the temperature gets above 20° and I get really unhappy when it gets above 25°.

Oh nice. I was up in FNQ (at a research station in the Gillies Range to be precise) for a couple months last year, from September to December. I guess we were about 750 meters above sea level...and I gotta say it got pretty damn cold at night, even until early November. But pretty much anytime we went down to the coast or inland it was just ridiculous how much hotter it was.

Much the same here in California.
One hardly needs to use the heater at all.

Here in Edmonton, AB, Canada.....I would like to try keeping the house at least 20°C late evening and at night, but during the day I know my mom loves to set it at 16°C.

In my opinion, keeping minimum 20°C works great since I hate waking up shivering in my bed because the house was hovering around 16-17°C all night.
Its nice to be in a house with a comfortable temperature; thinking about or consciously cool/cold in any season here other than summer, really annoys me.

As my mom will set it lower whenever we turn it up a little and whenever it gets set past 20°C.......an annoying and bothersome battle that will be ongoing.

Depends. When we are living in the Northern hemisphere, we try to maintain a 23-25 degree (Celsius) temperature with heaters. When living here in Nairobi, we just wear jackets and sometime light fires. When a house is built to relieve you of heat and keep you cool most of the year, it gets as cold inside as outside (13-15 degrees at night, 17-20 degrees during the day).

We have pretty old school radiator (house was built in the 20s). So how warm an area is has a lot to do with whether or not a door is open or where specifically in a room you are sitting. We do have an electric mattress pad. The bedroom gets chilly even if the rest of the house is 72.

My mom's cold in the summer, so quite. Last year we had no heat though and I can't remember sleeping it was so damn cold. Like, -1 celsius in my room.

Whenever I get really cold, like it has been for me recently (30F during the day), I wear a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt underneath my regular clothes. It works out pretty well.

I like the temperature to be in the 60s most of the time, but with Arkansas' recent freak weather (we were exulting that it was above freezing for once yesterday), I've kept it higher.

No idea whatsoever, I live in a flat, no fancy AC, just plain radiators that go from "off" to "flame on!". Somewhere around 21 I think. Up here, we spend a lot of electricity on keeping the house warm, because we've done had enough of the cold.

I don't know anyone who likes their home "kind of cool", when the temperature outside is somewhere between -30 and +10 Celsius, 10 months a year.

I keep the heat at 21 in the winter, but I usually like to turn the AC off completely in the summer.
I can't stand the cold, so it's my one luxury.

I turned my AC on a total of seven times last year, each day well above 100 with humidity. On the other hand, my heater is usually between 74 and 80, depending on how cold it is outside. I prefer the warm weather, so I tend to keep the house warmer, it must be mid 80s in my bathroom right now.

Cold, until it becomes unbearable to someone and they build a fire. All we have for heat is an old iron claw-foot fireplace.
