You know that part from the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trailer when Adam gets shot at from a Grenade Launcher?
Remember how he braced for impact while the explosion chipped away at his arms?

Now imagine that except the explosion is just a lot of snow and Adam gets smashed 13 feet backwards by the draft right on to his backpack where he had a bag of Doritos in there which exploded all over his textbooks while he was walking back from a hard day of University classes.

Friggin Canadian weather........

Foot of snow, it hailed at some point too, it sounded like little woodpeckers were having an orgy outside.

I could hear them plowing the streets since 4am but they gave up at some point.

It has been a consistently warmish (yet still cold) winter, with no no rain storms, no snow drifts, no boiling sun - nuttin interesting. The news channel in my office does have a habit of misreporting the weather and news, or more specifically, the automated subtitle feature does. We have the tv on mute so anyone watching it has to rely on the word soup that pops up at the bottom of the screen. Yesterday, according to the subtitles, the weather man reported their would be a "blood, majorly across the the South Centre". If that's the case, it must have only been very localised. No one here had any blood rain.

I live in a part of Maryland that's no stranger to wacky weather so I like to think the blizzard we got (days after a 65-degree day) was just a belated welcome home kind of deal. I was supposed to work on Tuesday but I had to call out because the roads were too damned icy and covered in snow. By that afternoon though the main roads were mostly passable and just yesterday I was driving (mostly) confidently down main roads and side roads alike. I expect this to be the last major winter weather system we get though...of course if I seriously say something like that out loud that will likely guarantee one more blizzard in early/mid April.

Here in Utah, an hour south of Salt Lake, it's been unseasonably warm.

This summer is going to suck.
As did last summer.
