So I am reading Clash of Kings...now a comic book ranking discussion

I just got to the part were Lord Tywin's host is marching and they are naming off a bunch of banners on the march. The last three sounded suspicios, black hood, blue beetle and green arrow. Aren't those 3 b list dc heroes?

Yes they are and if I remember correctly George R.R. Martin is somewhat of a comic geek. He writes a series called Wild Cards which is basically about Super Heroes.

Edit: Also, I wouldn't say that Green Arrow is B list. He might not be the first one you think of when you picture the DC universe but Ollie's been a prominent member of the JLA since like forever!

If they ain't Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman, then they are a B lister at best for DC. It isn't a slight against them.

That depends on who you are asking I guess. Most regular readers would disagree with you.
Also, are you saying that The Flash is B list?

Yes, and so is Green Lantern. But again, I am saying that DC's a listers are mega stars everyone knows of. While the B listers are only well know to people with more than a passing knowledge of comic books. I forgot about flash until you just mentioned him.

Mhm I guess you have a point. I was thinking more in line of who DC themselves consider to be B listers. Blue Beetle and Black Hood sure do fit that discription!

Not sure I'd put Green Arrow on the "B" list. But yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that. I really need to re-read the series again.

Green Arrow is who tipped me off, but he is a solid B lister for reason I listed above. I would say black hood is a D lister and blue beetle is a B- or C+.
