Can anyone recommend a good stealth/shooter game? I am not talking about the Thief series, nor do I want to hear any CoD or Halo, but a game like Splinter cell, or something that resembles Splinter cell. Thanks for the help.

Medal of Honor isn't a total stealth game, but does contain some cool snipe/silent stealth missions.

Playing stealthy in Deus Ex (1st one and HR, although 1st one hasn't aged that well) is really fun.
I'd also recommend any of the Metal Gear Solid games if you have any of the Playstations.

If you make a good stealth class, Oblivion has some awesome moments. There's a dark brotherhood mission where you 1 by 1 take out members of a party while keeping the suspicion off of yourself.

Best quest ever :)

Love the moment when the last person alive thinks the murderer is dead, only to turn around and have you put a knife in their back.

How about .... Splinter cell? Metal gear solid 1 ,2,3 , comes to mind . And id you dont mind graphics , syphon filter 1,2 or 3 . Deux ex hr is the obvious choice though. Also oblivion in stealth class .

Captcha : would effctu .

I'm guessing stealth games would effect you , and make you paranoid in real life.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.

It's kinda Deus Ex but with Vampires and magic. Alpha Protocol also, sort of a solo-play Mass Effect set in the current day. Both feature several ways to build you character how you want to play them, but they both have specializations in shooting and stealth mechanics if you want to.

Only two I can think of that haven't been mentioned.

Deus Ex (sort of)
Deus Ex Human Revolution (moreso)
Alpha Protocol (sort of)
Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines (sortof)
Metal Gear Solid 1,2,3,4 (moreso)
Syphon Filter 1,2,3
Splinter Cell - any except Double Agent

Most of the other recommendations I'd make have already been made... so: Sniper Elite. It's kinda old, but it's got solid gameplay, a good story, and fun bullet views (get a headshot and it goes all bullet time, following the trajectory as it leaves the muzzle and proceeds to make something turn red). Get over the shit graphics and it's a good game that rewards careful mission planning, 'cos your pistol has fuck all ammo.

On top of what everyone else has said, you could try Hitman. I have a lot of memories with Hitman 2 and that one guard outside the mansion that would take a piss, and if you got close enough you could see his low poly penis. Good times.. I mean ugh.. ah fuck it; great times.

Play as a Malk (Malkavian) or a Nossie (Nosferatu) for the most stealthing. Although it's recommended you play as something else first, as the game is quite challenging, and Nossies have an incredibly different style of gameplay.

Can't go wrong with Deus Ex or its spiritual sequels, Vampire: The Masquerade- Bloodlines and Alpha Protocol. You don't HAVE to stealth in them, but it's a big option.

(P.S, in Vampire, play as a Malkavian)

The Metal Gear Solid series is all I can personally recommend.

However, if you do play it don't be a dumb ass like myself and put the alert sound as your ringtone thinking yourself funny. I knew there was a reason I don't set my alarm anymore......
