I've recently started playing (about 3 months now) and I have a level 74 Blood Elf Warlock and a level 19 Mage - both on Khaz'goroth (PvE). I'm loving it so far, doesn't take up too much of my life, in fact I haven't found it any more addictive to any other game.
Hey I play on Khaz'goroth too, alliance side though. If you see my 80 lock Vanquished be sure to give me a /wave or /love so I know not to kill ya :D
Hey I'll remember to do that if I see you around :p mines now 77 :p Keep an eye out for Infinatex!

I got a trial of it... Then proceeded to say "Meh" after having so many "Kill X amount of monster Y" quests.

I played for about 1-2 Years and it was quite a lot of fun, especially working together, roleplaying and generally playing with others. That was my favourite part, working together.

However, I realized I had to quit as I was quite addicted and I was getting quite bored of it anyway. Actually, I think it was because my computer broke and had to be wiped and couldn't be assed to install everything again.

I've been playing World of Warcraft, since a few months after it started. I am constantly on the defense, because of people who like to throw back in my face that I have one pay-to-play game. By yourself, it can be nice to level a character - but the game gets into full swing with others. It's a socializing game, and I've known some of the people online for years, and made actual real life friends with them outside of the game. I made such good friends with my Guild Master from pre-Burning Crusade we became fast in-RL friends and he was at my wedding and even came beforehand to help set it up. He is like a regular fixture around the house staying for days on end and playing multi-player games with my husband and I.

I've played a Mage since I started, but with the release of this new patch (I am not saying I hate it, take a breather) , I am just saying I have to re-learn some things, and the patch is new and easily changeable with other patches; and will also probably change again with the coming of Cataclysm. So I've taken a break until Cataclysm's release. It'll be like breaking into a new game, in a familiar series. ^_^

My name is Sprinkets on Dragonblight. I didn't start there, I transferred from the P.V.P server, Chromaggus, because of friends and love-interest-now-husband.

I am glad you are having so much fun. ^_^ Watch out for the 40-55 lull. For some reason, it gets really , really, really boring there. But after that, it gets good again.

The Undead are really interesting, as well - the rest of the Horde aren't really "evil", but the Forsaken definitely are. They'll turn on the Orcs and everyone else once their allegiance is no longer convenient. I love the Undead towns like Brill - horrific mockeries of proper human settlements, with inns full of coffins and stables of skeleton horses, that would be terrifying to a normal person that stumbled upon them. Kind of fucked up, but cool, too.
Yeah, I like how the two factions are not just Alliance = Good, Horde = Bad. They both have areas of Good, Bad and grey areas. Well, they do more so if you have actually played the warcraft games beforehand. Funnily enough I always consider The Horde are closer to good then the Alliance are considering the hassle they go through and how many times the alliance races have doomed the world again and again.

But yeah, I played WoW for about 2.5 years. Started a few months before Burning Crusade came out, left sometime close to Arthas being a raid. Had my level eighty druid and warlock. Also had one of every class above level sixty, though some had no profession skills and were just power leveling up.

Mainly played PvP, never got into raiding. Just takes way to much time and is to demanding. PvP is simple, "Hey look, you are in this battleground with tonnes of enemies over there. GET THEM!"

I had some good stuff on my druid too. Dragon flying mounts, lots of rare pets and little gadgets from special events. Very tempting to pick it back up though probably won't until I move place. No point having a game that mandates internet connection when I will be without it for a few weeks/months. One day though.

Note: (Depending if they haven't changed the talent trees to much since I last played) Affliction is the level up spec for Warlocks. Demonology is good end game for PvP, Destruction is good for raids but Affliction is great for leveling/soloing. No downtime and no risk. ;)

Ok, thanks for the advice. I did already choose to go into the Destruction tree - I love to spam Immolate and Shadow Bolt, so it seemed like a good fit for my play style.

I don't play WoW at the moment, but when Cataclysm comes, I will. I'm a 80 Night Elf druid on Defias Brotherhood. For the Alliance!

I've never played it. Never even really watched it being played. I've come close to trying it a few times, but the thing that stops me is that I just loathe playing video games on my computer.

I have several 80's. I have been leveling a new character with all my friends because of the new leveling changes. Playing with friends is what makes it for me.

So, after finally getting her damn Loremaster achievement (a colossal waste of time and energy, if you ask me...well, I guess you could argue playing the game at all is a waste as well, but that's beside the point...), my sister has time to play with me again.

We've been leveling my Shaman and her Hunter in Outland (amazing place, btw - I love the extraplanar flavor and the demons everywhere, and flying mounts are awesome) - they're both up to 65 now, with our goal being to hit 80 before Cataclysm hits.

We also did our first few random Instances last night - they're fun, but a little stressful. I'm constantly on edge, just waiting for one of the other random players we're grouped with to get pissed off because I'm not playing right or they lost a loot roll. The gear is nice, though...

I play WoW, I'm Horde, a couple of lvl 80's and such, mainly a orc hunter in Quel'Thalas! I have a few friends I play with, but I have made quite a few friends on the game too that I do quests and dungeons with, it's fun. I wouldn't say I'm addicted, but I do play it nearly everyday for an hour or so

Played since beta vanilla, 70UD Rogue and a 70 Human Paladin...quit after patch 2.4 (Quel' Danas)

Then, when WotLK came out I tried to log on again and someone had taken my account so I said "fuck it" and never went back.

You have my condolences. May God save your soul.

In honesty though, I do play a fair share of WoW, mostly with a very close group of RL friends. There was a period of a month or two where I was playing on my own, and it was a very dull experience. Also, tanking or healing is a great way to make ingame friends 

I?ve stopped playing a lot recently, mostly due to the content becoming stale and repetitive. I shall be buying the expansion when it?s released. Friends, and regular new content, are possibly the two most important things for the reply value of an MMO.
