I was cleaning out boxes of stuff in the garage today and came across a tube of the little things. All I remember about pogs was that I had them, I don't really remember if there was some game or something you played with them. The last instance I remember them being interesting was when I was like 3 so that was about 1993-94.

Anyone remember pogs or what we were supposed to do with them? Or were they just the stupidest fad ever?

Didn't you throw a big pog at a pile of them and however many flipped over was your score?

That or when I was a kid I just enjoyed throwing things at other things enough to give myself points for it.

god pogs... They were a 90s fad in every sense of the word. there was a game but no one played it. The were toys at fast food restaurants for awhile (burger king i think). And there were a bazillions of them for any and every subject you liked.

Ah pogs....I completely forgot all about them and it was such a 90s fad. In every sense of the word it was since I really don't think anyone actually played it.

I vaguely remember playing it sometimes, but really it was all about showing off to your friends to see who had the coolest collection or where they go their newest one.

I wasn't around when pogs were popular (Were they ever?) but I did have quite a few. I also found mine a while back but I have no idea where they are now.

I think the game was to use a metal slammer to hit a pile of pogs, and you kept whichever ones you knocked face-up.

I seem to recall not being terribly good at it.

I never played pogs I just collected them. All I remember is that you took the big platic or metal one and it the others with it. I think I had over 300 in a freezer bag when I sold them. I miss them so much.

All I remember about pogs, is that I have tons of them as a kid, and i kept slotting them in to the floorboards in the living room for fun.

Who knows, in a few thousand years when I am long gone, some archaeologist might dig up a few of mine from all those years ago.

This really (but maybe the ones that were face down added to your Pogs/score).

I had some Pogs given to me by my older brothers and some (or one) of my cousins in a pink Pog tube that one of my brothers gave me. My Slammer was a purple metal Hello Nurse that the paint on it was fairly easily wiped off of. No idea what has become of them. My guess it, they're among the many possessions I no longer have because my mother threw me out on my ass.
