So, I got a Mohawk today...

Hey, so I went to the hairdresser's today. Asked for a Mohawk.
Personally I love it and I want to know what you all think?

While I'm not a real fan of mohawks that's pretty cool.

I had my hair spiked once when I was eight or something. I thought this meant they'd make my hair look like a bunch of spikes and was surprised when the was able to flip through the hair stylist's book and it was just poofy hair.

Didn't get any colour in mine because it would have set me back quite abit more than I had.

I had one once (three years ago? Something like that). I went with liberty spikes for a few days and then cut it down some. Overall, I say it was too much hassle. And it didn't fit me. Or I just didn't have the wardrobe for a mohawk. My dress style is more outdoorsy to slightly preppy. I usually look like I'm about to either go hiking, surfing, or sailing. The mohawk clashed.

I only did it because I had grown out my hair for a year and a half and my girlfriend dared me to get a mohawk whenever I finally got it cut. So I accepted the dare and had her do it for me.

Yeah, the photo was taken like 2 hours after I had it originally done, and I had been in the rain briefly. But when it was first done it was pretty much straight up.

What do you use to keep it up?

I had a bright orange mohawk a while back (didn't look as good as yours, my friend and his girl friend did it in about ten minutes). That combined with my torn up pants, Anti-Flag and Minor Threat t-shirts, the fact that I played music that sounded like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIUHtN8Q-zI] (mohawk and torn pants came about a month after this video), and the fact that at the time I was a litte unhealthily into vandalism, I looked and acted punk as fuck.

When I moved and started going to my school I had to shave it. Now I play better music, have intact pants, and don't make a habit of vandalism. Now I look and act more like a hipster. Where did I go wrong...

I do still fucking love Anti-Flag and Minor Threat though so at least some things never change.

Awesome comrade, I got one last summer, only mine was like the one De Niro have in "Taxi Driver"
but than I went fully skinhead I removed it and from that day I keep my head shaved.
