Incidentally, the Gold Trophy you get for Hardcore is, according to the StratGuide, the ONLY Gold in the game.

To be honest hardcore mode isn't anything special. I'm breezing through it atm without any preorder bonuses, and i only get a minor sickness if i REALLY want to.

It's nice that i have to manage bullet weight though, which was the reason i opted for it.

I don't really notice the bullet wait. I'm carrying copious amounts of bullets and weapons and still have about 60lbs. of free space.

You should have thought it would have been something really awesome like insta kill weapon or darth vader armor or some shit!

I am betting Obsidian wanted to make Hardcore Mode the normal mode but had some sort of backlash from testers or Bethesda and just made it a toggled optional mode
