So when you say monsters, like just really powerful beings or real monsters? Like cosmic horror Saya no Uta?
Nope. Better. Sexy snek girl.
Will snake girl end the world, or is she just a snake girl?

Cause I want someone that'll drive me mad, whos abilities are completely beyond my realm of understanding.
The only monstergirl in this series capable of destroying the world would be Doppel, and that's because I'm pretty certain she's actually Nyarlathotep. Otherwise, they're just Centaurs, Snake Girls, and Mermaids.

Also, Tio is clearly the best girl you philistines!

I'm sorry, but as someone who actually is into monsters, let me tell you that THOSE ARE CERTAINLY NOT MONSTER GIRLS.
Those are actual cute human girls with sexy Halloween costumes on.
Just out of curiosity, what do you consider actual monster girls? "Waifu with superficial bestial traits added to cater to people's fetishes," yep, that sounds like a monster girl alright.

They seem pretty inhuman and some are indeed actual mythological creatures like the centaur. Not sure how well the others really fit the creatures they're supposed to be though as I don't watch the show and don't want to look up accuracy of the stuff they're based on.

I am literally 99% sure that I've seen damn near this same argument on this forum in a previous thread relatively recently. And I replied to that already. Let me see if I can find it...

Ah yes, quoting myself:
The one you're replying to also seems to have entirely missed the point that most of said girls are shoutouts to popular perception of classical mythological creatures. The popular perception of Lamias IS that they are a woman but serpentine below the waist (in that respect Miia is arguably more monster girl than the popular mythological perception given that parts of the rest of her have indications too). Centaurs, in mythology, literally are the upper body of a human and the lower of a horse. Harpies are, again in popular views of the mythology, the body and head of a human with wings for arms and legs of a bird.

It seems somewhat absurd to complain about this when they literally are going for the popular public perceptions of monstrous human-based mythological entities.
By any reasonable definition they are monster girls. They are, in effect, riffs on classical mythological monsters that are humanoid-based; going off popular public perception of how said mythological entities are viewed.

Just because they're cute doesn't preclude this fact.

Also Miia is clearly best girl. IDK what anyone in this thread who says otherwise is talking about, you're all crazy.

Never could get into this series...but that's because I've never enjoyed purely ecchi - or as I like to call them: blue ball - series. Either go full on hentai or don't. Don't have chapter upon chapter of build-up and teasing without any payoff.

For what it's worth: the snake girl is indeed the best, though. :p

Very well.

[spoiler = Here's some actual monster girls. ]

I think you're forgetting the fact that these "monster girls" are simply masturbation fodder to cater to people's weird fetishes. What you just posted is rather difficult to get off to, and would simply come under the category of "female monsters". Monster girls are female monsters in the same way that fanboys are male fans.

I find that offensive. Please use the proper politically correct term - Waifus.

Apart from how I don't find those monsters difficult to masturbate to, but that's personal preference....

....The point is that those girls in the comic aren't really monster girls. I mean on the monster scale it'd be like zero on the furry scale

See that "not furry"?
"Not monster".

I mean nothing wrong with waifus but don't call them monster girls, it's like calling furry a fully human anime girl with cat ears.
You're free to your preferred fap opinion, but you're wrong. These are, in fact, monster girls - This is what monster girls have always been. This is what the term was coined to describe.

It's fine if it doesn't meet you minimum monstrosity score, but it is what it is.

You're fighting a futile battle here, WW. You can call them what you like, but the anime community as a whole has deemed girls such as the ones featured in this comic as "monster girls". It's an anime trope, and one that has been firmly established. Of course they don't actually look "monstrous", they're anime/manga characters. When was the last time you saw an ugly female in anime/manga? You like making topics on getting more diverse character designs, perhaps your next one should be taking on the entire anime industry as a whole for making nothing but females who range from "cute" to outright "sexy".

We're talking about a community that has battleship girls and tank girls for crying out loud. :p

All I'm saying is that there isn't a chance in hell that you're going to be able to successfully impose your definition of a monster girl onto a community that already has a firmly established definition of monster girls. All you're doing by protesting this is wasting your breath (so to speak :p). The only way you'll win this fight is by getting Japan to change its culture.

Good luck with that. :D

Well, fair enough.
There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion on the matter, of course, just saying that you're arguing against the actual definition of a term as defined by the community that created that term.

Well, there are pros and cons to each one. As you can see by this chart:

The benefits of some will be more relevant depending on personal tastes.

However, due to the charts clearly incomplete nature, I will have to go with one who is not present in order to touch the fluffy tail!

Clearly the best option. Fluffy tail, loyal, will get me into shape and stop being lazy, fluffy tail.

But, since this is often the case, I have what I believe is appropriate for this thread.
Its obviously Miia and her Mom that are best. I don't know why the others are even fighting.

I was thinking much the same thing, but he has made an appearance recently. Namely in the hentai thread, where a certain snake lady was offered up as an example.

So it shouldn't be long.
