I have just bought MogWorld by Yahtzee and i must say from what I have already read this is a great book, and it made me wonder how many people on here have bought and/or read MogWorld and what you guys think of it.

Can you give me more of a description of how it's great? I'm actually considering getting it myself.
I got it but haven't got a chance to finish it as school books interrupted my personal reading time soon after I started it. However, I found what I've read so far to be enjoyable. There's a handful of good black comedy and an interesting story, which weaves in an MMO world tightly.
Been wanting to get the book for a while. Thanks for reminding me, just got myself a copy from Play.
I'm not getting it because our book retailers won't stock it due to lack of demand.
If I wanted to read it so badly I would acquire it in another way, but that would be talking about illegal activities and I'd rather keep quite.

I've read it, and I absolutely loved it! I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did when I read it.

It's not bad. It's a very interesting premise, and it's quite well-written, but it'll never compare to most of the other fantasy novels I read. Not saying it isn't good, just not as good as some other stuff. Still well worth getting though.
Bottom line - if you like Yahtzee's humour, you'll enjoy Mogworld.

I loved MogWorld not just because it hit on every single thing I know of as a gamer, but also because it delivered a serious meaningful story line that mixed in religious and social issues and eventually centered in on the question of the meaning of life itself. I actually got away with using it for a book report in school and my teacher loved it.
This is why I dislike Ireland in some respects. Whenever I go into a bookstore anywhere all they have are Irish history books and lots of older books. It only when I go to England that I see the books that interest me. Saw Mogworld for £10 and I am now kicking myself about not buying it. I hope to get it and then enjoy it thoroughly.
If you like Yahtzee, you'll like it. If you've ever played WoW or EQ, you'll like it. If you like Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, you'll like it. Failing those things, if you just like humorous fantasy, you'll probably like it.Harbinger_ said:
