I have the book. I bought it off of amazon this spring for under 10$. It was very much worth it; I read it all in one night and laughed hysterically all th way through. And for what it's worth, the characters were likable enough and the story was imaginative. It's also as close you can get to Douglas Adams or Sir Terry Pratchett without picking up hithicker's guide or discworld respectively.

It's not bad. It's a very interesting premise, and it's quite well-written, but it'll never compare to most of the other fantasy novels I read. Not saying it isn't good, just not as good as some other stuff. Still well worth getting though.
This.

I read it-and I enjoyed it-but I doubt that I'll touch it again anytime soon, if ever.

Can you give me more of a description of how it's great? I'm actually considering getting it myself.
Easy. It is Yahtzee's cynicsm, sarcasm, and humor thrust into a hilarious plot with lots of weirdness and there is punctuation involved.

Naturally, this means that I have read the book as well.

I'll read it sometime, but I've been reading way too much fantasy lately.

I bought it and read it. Felt I owed Yahtzee that much. But yeah, it's pretty awesome. Quirky, funny, and enough nods to both generic fantasy literature and muhmorpuguh culture to satisfy and nerd worth his companion cube shirts.

Got it at Barnes & Nobles at a closing sale for 35% off. Pretty great read, and definitely worth the price.

I'm not getting it because our book retailers won't stock it due to lack of demand.
If I wanted to read it so badly I would acquire it in another way, but that would be talking about illegal activities and I'd rather keep quite.
On a side note, I don't really want to read it.

Umm... how about Amazon? I know they have it.

It takes the cliches of Roleplaying, MMOs and Fantasy and gives them a nice touch of reality.

Cynical reality.

Have to say though, that the main character does seem very like Yahtzee in a different suit, but it's his first book. It's still amusing and worth reading.

I picked it up shortly after it came out. One of the funniest damn books I've read. I whored it out to my friends to read and they all loved it, too.

As a fan of Yahtzee I pre-ordered it (I actually pre-ordered 2 copies one for me, and one as a prize). For a first-time author I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good that book actually is. It's funny, dramatic, and uses the fantasy MMORPG setting perfectly. Like how villagers adapt to being constantly raided by trolls every day as part of a quest.

I'm thinking of ordering it from my local bookstore, and at 7$-8$ a pop it's a really good deal. Plus it'll give me something to read after a long day of classes.

Bought it ages ago, loved every second of it.

I like and played a lot of WoW and really like Yahtzee's intelligent writing style and sense of humour, so no surprises that I enjoyed it.

Tried to read it like Yahtzee talks, but my mind could not process the story quickly enough :p

I liked it and especially the first three quarter of the book made me chuckle like a little kid
last quarter however was just OK

I'd recomend it

and Slippery john deserves his own book. EPIC

Always been interested. Before now I thought the biggest Dutch online bookstore, where I get all my books, didn't have it. But lo and behold it does. I'm reading The Name of the Wind at the moment, and definitely it's sequel after that, but what the hell I'll order it anyway.
