I'm at 181. 41 installed, and that's after a huge cull about a week ago (got rid of about 20-30 games), 'cause I have a strange obsession with keeping 1TB of my internal hard drive empty (I don't get it either).

Braid
Commander Keen
Darksiders
DEFCON
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

The number fluctuates a lot, depending on where I look at it. I think it counts mods sometimes.

435 are in my "all games" dropdown, 159 installed.

And that dude with all those games is insane. I consider myself a steam game collector at this point, yet I'm having a really hard time finding games I want to add to my collection. There's been a few friends who have wanted me to gift them a game because they can't buy anything at that moment, with the promise to pay be back with the game of my choice. I can't do that anymore because there just aren't enough games out there to ask them to buy for me.
It doesn't count them unless taken directly from Steam since mods are on individual computers and ran through Steam rather than them being on Steam.

I'm not following you. When I look at my community profile, I see 565. I don't really play separate mods, so my All Games list can't be inflated by more than 3 if installing them counts them there.

I suppose there are a few things that show up twice, like Civ4 Mac, and TF2/TF2 Beta.

Keeping your hard drive at least not completely full supposedly makes it live longer and run faster. Makes sense that there might be less to seek through.

I'm new to steam purchases. I think I started when a video card I bought came with a free download of Dirt 3, so, got it. After Summer sale, even as a console guy, I'm hooked.

Amnesia Dark Descent: $5
Bastion $2.50
Dear Esther $2.50
Deus Ex Human Revolution w/ downloads: $9.99
Dirt 3: Free
Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Already owned on disc, added itself to my library
Fallout New Vegas
L.A.Noir: $4.99
Left 4 Dead 2: Already owned on disc, added itself to my library
Metro 2033: $4.99
Portal 1 and 2 $6.99 total for both
Total War: Shogun 2: Already owned on disc, added itself to my library
Witcher 2 Enhanced $15.99... least played so far and most expensive down load! It is beautiful but hard!

176 games, 13 installed.

At one point I did have a 600GB Steamapps folder on a dedicated 1TB HDD (NTFS symbolic link to the Steam folder in Program Files on my 256GB SSD). Unfortunately the HDD died on me. It has since been replaced with a 2TB HDD.

My monthly download cap is 120GB so I just download games when I want to play them along with one or two each month that I might consider playing when I have time. University doesn't leave much time for gaming but I often set games to download on my PC via the Steam app on my phone.

Yeah I'm pretty lazy when it comes to buying games so I only have 4 and all but one is F2P. I only have one installed on my laptop and that's TF2. Beyond that I have Skyrim, Tribes: Ascend and Spiral Knights.

I've got 94 games on steam, I'm now wondering what should be my 100th game, make it special. Must be worth quite a bit, though I get alot of indie bundles and buy alot on sale so I imagine that the actual cost to me may be lower that I think.

Games currently installed

Portal 2
Team Fortress 2 (just reinstalled today)
Skyrim
Civ V
Frozen Synapse
Trine 2
STALKER COS
Total War: Shogun 2
Quantum Conundrum
Uplink
Beat.Trip.Beat
Fieldrunners
Audiosurf
Spirits

Not the best thing to say on a gaming forum unless youre inviting torches and pitchforks.

Only 50 apparently. All of them are installed across my macbook pro, imac or PC. It's always fun trying to work out where the hell I installed something.

It appears that sometimes it counts free to play games, for example one calculator I've seen included Alien Swarm despite me not having it on Steam. And under All Games any game that is currently having a free trial period will be added. Pretty sure some calculators more also include some DLC as separate games.

You own 49 games worth: $791.52 USD

Technically I'd say I only have 43 games, as it counts all the extras from the Half Life Bundle like Half-Life: Source as a separate game rather than add ons and expansions.

And the total worth is a true representation of my Steam spending. Using the transaction history, I worked out that I've spent only $244.73 on Steam, which works out to me buying my games at an average of 70& off.

18 games, 14 of which are installed. - Those that I haven't installed either don't work or are games that I don't particularly like.

Supreme Commander 2
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Fallout: New Vegas
Metro 2033
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 (Don't kill me)
Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising
Warhammer 40 000: Space Marine
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: episodes 1 and 2

Total value: between $279.89 and $99.69 with an average of $12.17 per game.

*Reads everyone else's stats*

Wow I feel inadaquate.

I have over 80 at the moment I believe and I really only keep 10-15 on there at any given time. I have plenty of space on my hard drive for all of them, I just don't like to fill it so I'll play some and delete them when I'm done. My internet connection is fast enough that I wouldn't have to wait more than 20-30 minutes for the largest of them to reinstall and I have no bandwidth cap.

As in mods are usually downloaded from sites like Moddb and such and installed on your computer. Some have to be booted through Steam, but because you didn't get the mod from Steam directly the mod only appears on the games list of the computer it's installed on. However if you use an external service like Steam Calculator, it doesn't count it.

It counts it in Steam just not externally. If... if that makes sense.
