Pokemon Colosseum
Somehow I always keep forgetting about that one. It was so much fun. It even defaulted me with my favorite eveelution :)

Closest thing we've ever gotten to a proper console Pokemon game.
Hmm... I'd have to say I prefer Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness over Colosseum, since it's longer and there's more Pokemon to catch. XD is rare though, and I just bought a used copy off of Amazon for £43, so I doubt OP will get it. Colosseum is a great game though, you can pick that up relatively cheap.

Resident Evil 4 as well, if you didn't pick up the Wii version or PS3/360 HD versions.

Oh, and Luigi's Mansion. Fun and very different from the usual Mario games.

Tales of Symphonia (if you can find it), Twilight Princess, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Fire Emblem (whatever version was on the GameCube, I can't remember). And the Collector's Edition of the Legend of Zelda. Some fool trade that in to Game Stop and I immediately grabbed it for $35. This was before I even owned a GameCube. Still, you'll probably have better luck finding every other game on this list than that last one. Or you may get lucky.

EDIT: Oh, I see you already own the Fire Emblem game. Scratch that one off the list.

Eternal Darkness! One of the most in depth, mature games I have ever played, and it's on a Nintendo console! What are the chances. I've been harking over a sequel for years, damn you silicon knights, and your churning of crap in recent years!
Silicon Knights put in a request for funding for a sequel back in.. 2005 I think? I'm not sure if nobody wants to fund it or Nintendo has some sort of claim on it and doesn't want it (which is stupid, because I will buy a WiiU the day it comes out, though I do understand they spent the last generation making ludicrous amounts of money by milking the Mario franchise).

Welp, there goes this months wages (and probably a big portion of my free time) I'll see what i can dig out from Ebay and whatever the local game shops have in their used piles. I must say, i forgot about Pikmin and can't wait to get a chance to play that again (did the first 2 levels like 10 years ago) and there are some games people have suggested that I have never even herd of. If any of these games are as much fun as the first 10 levels of fire emblem its gonna be a great few months :D

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far.

Kindest regards,

Fim

Did anyone say Skies of....

Skies of Arcadia: Legends
Oh. My work here is done, then.

Also, the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games (RS2 is way better, but RS3 has co-op versions of RS2's missions, so there's a plus).

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Always Wind Waker, forever.

I'd be more help if everyone else hadn't already ninja'd my choices.

But I can at least reiterate Skies of Arcadia, Metroid Prime and Prime 2, Eternal Darkness, Tales of Symphonia, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Monkey Ball 2, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (it's more ridiculous and campy than the original, but I prefer the gameplay by far), and Lost Kingdoms + 2.

Sonic Adventure 1 and Sonic Adventure Battle 2 (No matter what Neronium or Shrekfan may say I still loved them XD)
Heywaitaminute!

Sonic Adventure DX is still pretty good. Gloriously badly written, and half of the characters are frustrating as hell to play as, but it holds up better than the sequel, ironically enough. >.>

If only just because E-102 has the shooter gameplay they gave Tails in the second one, Sonic has waaaaay more levels, and Knuckles isn't as infuriating to treasure hunt with.

If you feel like trying out a couple of the less respected games then Billy Hatcher, Battalion Wars and Starfox Adventures are worth checking out. They won't set the world on fire but they were all really fun, and thanks to the little innovation of colour they still have a nice style to them.

SUPER SMASHHHHH BROTHERRRSSSS melee of course my favourite game cube game, Sonic adventure 2 battle and luigis mansion are solid. Also sonic mega collection if you want to get some retro in your classic and windwaker is pretty timeless due to its art style and always fun. :)

OK, I'm gonna break it down for you in order of overall popularity and importance.

1. Super Smash Bros. Melee. - If you have a Gamecube and you tell people that you have one, you're going to be pretty much expected to have this. And there's no reason really why you shouldn't. This should be your first priority.

2. Metroid Prime - A very good single player experience. The problem is that it has barely any replay value.

3. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Lament - I would have put this higher up but even today, this game is somewhat expensive. You're going to be looking at $30 for a copy. If you can and want to get it though, get it.

4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/Windwaker - Some people like both. Some people like one over the other. And some people just don't like Zelda. If you don't, you can safely ignore this one. Windwaker has a cell-shaded cartoony kid look that I just really don't like at all personally but some people really liked it. Twilight Princess, in a lot of its ideas though is kind of a deviant in terms of past Zelda games. Not nearly as much as Majora's Mask was but still. It's a more mature Zelda than anything else. I loved it a lot more than Windwaker but it still had its flaws. OoT's still the best. :\
