I finally saved up enough money and got a used PS3. What games should I get? I am pretty interested in Fat Princess, but I don't know if anyone still plays it a lot.

I am looking for PS3 exclusive games mainly too! (That's right, I own more then one console. I am one of those people...)

EDIT: I should probably point I have Demon Souls and inFamous.
Pretty much all the games people are saying but what do you mean by "one of those people"?

Those people that own either two consoles or a console and a PC, ect. You know, the people you either look at with total disgust because they have too much money or with admiration because they realized that being a gamer means you can't confine yourself to one console and defend it with the intensity of a rabid dog.

Obviously I am one of those people on so many levels...

EDIT: By no means is "one of those people an insult", unless you are one of those people who lords himself over other people in which case it is a bad thing.

Thank God for that...

Lords of Shadow kinda disappointed me. It was alright but I was expecting more...
Well, Demon's Souls has you traversing areas level by level and world by world(there are five worlds, each with four levels, as I recall), fighting extremely hardy monsters and generally playing carefully if you want to live. That by itself relates to Castlevania more than Lords of Shadow does. To me, Demon's Souls is a 3-D version of the first, third, and fourth Castlevania games. There's no Medusa heads, though, or bats.
Yeah, I can see that. I had never played a 3-D Castlevania until Lord of Shadows (I played the hell out of the DS ones, Harmony of Despair, and the original Castlevannia though)

Lord of Shadows is by no means a bad game, it's just too easy at times and to be honest, I wasn't really pulled in by the story (which is odd I know, but you play one guy trying to resurrect his wife with ancient powers, you have played them all).

Vanquish. You need this in your life. You need to be touching it. It needs to be inserted into your ps3, and played.

I know it's multi-platform, but I would contend that it is one of the very few shooters that actually plays better with the dualshock controller, just due to how compact it is, and how the triggers are aligned. When I tried Vanquish on my 360, quickly alternating between boosting, aiming and shooting mechanics was uncomfortable due to the spacing between the triggers and shoulder buttons. This is an objective observation, not a snipe at one particular platform.

In summary, acquire Vanquish for your ps3.
Because, Vanquish...mer..der..suuuruuurduuur...blam....zap...uh...hurrrdy...finng...grr...grreat.

Infamous
Valkyria Chronicles
Heavy Rain

Those are my most highly recommended games.

Metal Gear Solid 4 if you're into the MGS series. If not, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE. It's about 4/5's cutscenes. I would reccommend Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2 to anybody. And Heavy Rain if you like story driven games

EDIT: I meant to say LittleBigPlanet, not LBP 2, although that'll be stellar also

MGS4, Folklore, LBP, Uncharteds, Resistances and Killzone 3 are good games but I'd rather play my xbox 360.

When I bought my PS3 after christmas with part of hte money I got I got the movies 9 and Splice and for a game: Bioshock 2. BS2 isn't really that bad. Not nearly as good as the first, of course, but I like it. There's better games available, but acknowledge its existence...

I can recommend some movies, but everyone knows the PS3 has......

har har har har har.

In all seriousness, I'd recommend the Uncharted series first and foremost. Beyond that, it depends on your personal preference, but unless you're easily amused(like, cymbal-banging monkeys enthrall you), I wouldn't recommend Heavy Rain. Maybe I'm a snob or something, but the massive gaping plot holes, terrible pacing, bad voice acting, and completely throwaway characters(NAWMINJAYDEHN) really ruined the experience for me.

Other good PS3 games include Killzone 2(it's a first-person shooter without obnoxious set pieces, that alone makes it a godsend), Demon's Souls(more Castlevania than Lords of Shadow), Infamous, and pretty much any multiplat.
The thing with Heavy Rain that no one mentions is that it has a shower scene with partial frontal nudity and no censoring, and you know a bunch of gamers will replay it just for that but say they like it for the story.

Well you're off to a good start, I throughly enjoyed Demon's Souls and inFamous. RDR isn't a PS3 exclusive, but it's damn good and definitely worth a buy.

Well you have 2 awesome games.
I havent play the God of war games, but there is the trilogy in sale.
My recommendation is Heavy Rain. That game is like a movie, but is a very good game.
