So I just got a PS3

Motorstorm, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, InFamous, Killzone 2 and Ratchet and Clank all kick arse as far as I'm concerned, but that comeas down to taste.

As far as Dowloadable game are concerned, I'd definitely recommend Flower and FlOw, as well as Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, or SARPBC. It's really good as far as get togethers are concerned, since it's 4-player splitscreen.
If you're really into splitscreen party games, then Warhawk, Motorstorm 2, SARPBC and Worms 2 Armageddon are all top choices. If you've got a better internet connection, then I strongly recommend trying out Warhawk online, since you can go 4-player splitscreen in an online match. Who wouldn't want that? Call of Duty is always a good party game as well. I always hire MW2 when my mates come around.

When it comes down to it, it's your choice. Just have a look at the PS3's exclusives catalogue and make up your own mind

I cannot recommend the upcoming Team Ico Collection enough! It must be played if you like your landscapes epic and colossus-y.

Thanks guys, it looks like I'm gonna have to pick up God Of War 3, I saw it at a friends house today, jaw dropping! And I've already had my time with the first two, so I guess I do need to finish the story.

Edt: Is there any reason I should get the pack with God of War I & II? Or is it the same thing as the PS2 pretty much?

Yep throw in Killzone 2 and MAG and you have a good few decent games

Resistance is great. Also, the God of War pack that was released on PS3 has both GoW 1 & 2 on it for like $25. Two great games, totally worth it - they're the same as the PS2 versions, with achievements, so if you have played those already then move right on to number 3.
