Absolutely nobody is gonna mention Ikaruga? No? Ok... I'll just sit in my corner ;-;
Someone didn't read all the games in the list I posted above I see. :3
Although if he were to get the Dreamcast version, he would have to break the region coding on his Dreamcast to play it since the Dreamcast wasn't region free. Not to mention the prices for Dreamcast Ikaruga are often times more than the GameCube release price.
That's what I get for skimming a few posts x.x Though, that's crappy to hear. Doesn't surprise me though

I'll take a look through my collection later; see if there's anything I'd recommend that the folks above me have left out. Meanwhile, take a moment to appreciate the controller. I know a great many people complained about it, but if (like me) you have big hands, the extra size is nice. If they'd made better use of the extra space, maybe thrown in some extra context buttons like the Jaguar controller did, it'd be just about perfect. Oh, well.

Edit: Left out a key "not"
The Sonic games are a must, if you have not played the ports. Soul Calibur is probably one of the greatest 6th gen fighters out there. MDK 2 is a really weird shooter worth checking out. (Those are the four I can remember that I've had enough experience with to feel necessary to mention again. My DC died somehow back in 2003. I boxed up with the intent to fix it later and lost it. I later traded in what I had left. D'oh.)

There's a Did You Know Gaming video that just went live that also might pique your interest in some other stuff.

My friend's giving me his old Dreamcast in a few days so I'm lurking this thread attentively. Now if only the games weren't so damn expensive.

Skies of Arcadia is my absolute favorite game for the Dreamcast, I strongly recommend you look it up.
This user speaks the uptmost of truths! Skies of Arcadia is a fun JRPG with and interesting plot, and and interesting leveling system. The only thing I think is the deteriment of the original Dreamcast version is the rate of random battles is ridiculous. The game was ported to the GameCube later on as Skies of Arcadia Legends, which contained all the DLC that was in the game. Yep, Skies of Arcadia had DLC for game-long sidequests as well as new hidden bosses. Overall, it's an excellent game that really needs a damn HD port already... >.>

Other games include:
-Sonic Adventure games (sorta self explanatory)
-Tony Hawk Pro Skaters 1 & 2 (best graphical port of the first two games hands down)
-Rayman 2: The Great Escape (same as Tony Hawk, it's the best port audio wise and visually)
-Crazy Taxi 1 & 2
-Powerstone 2 (extremely fun is the only thing I can think of right now)
-Typing of the Dead (the Dreamcast had a keyboard peripheral that was great with this)
-Chu Chu Rocket
-Samba De Amigo (best version is here, also had DLC for new songs. Avoid the Wii port)
-Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (pretty version of Legacy of Kain)
-Ikaruga (bullet hell shooter, quite fun)
-Marvel vs Capcom 2 (best version is on the Dreamcast...good luck getting it for a reasonable price though)
-Powerstone 1 (fun)
-Jet Set/Grind Radio (unique game with amazing music. It has been ported to modern consoles/PC though)
Daytonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! <3

Also all of the above and more are well worth your time. Sega Rally on the system is great, lots of good arcade game ports, plenty of ports and upgrades of horror games, Code Veronica is best on the system for example.

Just do yourself a favour and get Soul Calibur easily the best game for the system imo then again I did get the system for this single game (and was not disappointed) Skies of Arcadia is excellent although I prefer Legends on GC Ikaruga is also great although I only played the GC version of this so dont know if the DC one is any different.

Im sure it had more but for me the DC was almost exclusively a Soul Calibur machine I hated the controller but loved that game so much I put up with it most other games I would get on other systems if they were available.

Also, the Steam version [http://store.steampowered.com/app/253750/] is ten bucks and probably the most feature-rich version of the game.
