...And I have to say it wasn't too bad.
It wasn't mindblowingly epic, nor will it be as fondly remembered as Alien, but it was a very solid sci-fi movie. And for a prequel that's saying a lot.
It was great to see Ridley Scott return to science fiction though. Seeing the inside of the Prometheus ship made me realize how much I missed the guy. In a time were the visuals of nearly every sci-fi movie are overly slick, stylish and cool, it's nice to an old master's keen eye at work.
The performances were all around good, except for a few paper thin throw-away characters. Michael Fassbender is charming as hell and reminded me of a young Michael York, though his character can be a bit obvious.
The second half as well as the ending were a bit meh, but when it peaks it's brilliant. One scene in particular was fucking awesome (you'll know when you see it).
