I've sold Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Killstreak-whoring 2, as I've finally, and ironically gotten sick of it. Some of you (probably not) may remember my countless threads and comments on how much I loved it etc. etc.

Whatever, fact is I sold it, and got Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

I love BC2 and all, but you can only handle so much of one game before wanting to play another game, I'm definitely not selling BC2 as I love it way too much.

So, I'd like for the Escapists to help me find a game which I can save up for, I do have preferences:

I like shooters.

I don't play on the PC or XBOX, for that matter.

I also like RTS' and a good Fantasy/Sandbox RPG (I've already played the hell out of Oblivion and Fallout 3)

That about sums it up. Also, I've heard many good things about CoD: WaW, I've only really played it once or twice, and I have to admit, it's looking good.

So how 'bout some help.

Also, if you're just going to be cynical or sarcastic about it, then please, don't bother posting.

I'd pick up WaW cheap, I really enjoyed it personally.

I'd try and suggest more sandbox RPG's, but unfortunately for you, they're mostly on PC...

Get L4D 2 if you like multiplayer shooters that encourage team-work.
Nevermind....unless L4D 2 is on PS3.....is it?
*Is completely clueless*
Nah, it's just on XBOX and PC, unfortunately.

PS3 is due for a good zombie game, methinks.

I've given up MW2 for the time being, and have started to play COD:WAW online now. It's so nice to have a change of pace and location. Oh and only 3,5,7 killstreaks is great. Plus there's friggen zombie mode for when you get bored!!

Well, World at War is a very good game, I'd go as far as to say it's the best Call Of Duty so far. So that's certainly a good un.
.
Oh my goodness. Someone agrees with me =O
Yes, I'd say WaW is the best COD, it has the best campaign and less douches are on the multiplayer =)...

Oh yeah... It also has Nazi Zombies... WHICH IS AWESOME!

Another good zombie game is a PSN game called Zombie appocolypes with is always fun.
And Resistance 1 and 2 and Killzone 2 are the PS3's big hitters on the shooter side... If you dont already own them...

Also feel free to add me on PSN: Comadorcrack.

=) Hope i've been helpfull

Red Dead Redemption is out on Friday if you are a fan of the more open ended style of gameplay. It's a sandbox, and a shooter. Kind of.

Check out reviews and gameplay videos to see if you like it.

Red Dead Redemption, man. Comes out tomorrow, (or in a few more days for you folks across the pond) and you got yourself a sprawling western sandbox with free-roam multiplayer to boot.

You can lasso the mayor of a town (or anyone else for that matter), drag him behind your horse and charge into the plains as he tumbles across the dirt, while your online friend chases behind you trying to shoot the bound hostage. Need I say more..

Well I recently got Abe's Oddysee from the PSN and I'd definitely recommend it, I know it's probably not what your after but it's fun dammit!

The only thing that irks me about it is that I was better at it when I was 8 years old.

I'd like to further recommend Saints Row 2. I bought it for around 20 dollars and im having a blast with it. Overall it's really fun and very cheap.

Some very good suggestions, I'll keep those in mind.

And I may add you. If I can remember that is, I have the memory of an Alzheimer's patient.

Statement: I find myself quite fond of this idea. While I mainly use more technologically advanced devices than a lasso, I am strangely aroused by this primitive technique.

I don't know of anything right now, but keep an eye open for BRINK and Halo Reach in the future. You also might want to check out Battlefield 1943 for the Xbox Live Arcade. They've got a 30 minute demo you can download, I believe.

Erm, let's see. There's the Bioshocks, and Team Fortress 2(If you have a computer), Left 4 Dead 2, aaaand Gears of War. That's the stuff I own that kind of fits your criteria.

Dont know if its your thing but try Resident Evil 5. You can pick up a used copy really cheap and the online co-op is really fun. Still loads of people that play it too
