Gears of War 1 and 2 are the best shooters I've played, though I don't really like shooters that much, I've still played a fair few, and I don't think any have had more satisfying gunplay, or comparable online multiplayer. And people complaining about the story, what are you complaining about? It's fine, unless the lack of lots of story shoved in your throat is bad, because at least in the first game, the story was a good backdrop and reason for what you're doing, and serves its purpose perfectly.
That said, the OP realy ninja'd me, I was gonna make a thread about how I liked Gear's first multiplayer a tonne and would like to know if Gears 2's multiplayer has managed to "sophisticate" in the same way, as I remember people being savages when I first played it, so to speak.
