I second this. Best use of the Wii controls I've seen by far. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is also worth checking out, if you want a different kind of rail-shooter (the focus is more on getting accurate forehead-shots against slow-moving zombies, as opposed to shooting terrorists the second they appear on screen) Sin & Punishment sounds pretty interesting to me, if you're into Space Harrier type games (haven't actually played it myself, though)

I bet you could find the Trauma Center games (there were two) in the bargain bin. Wii Surgery simulation at its finest. Atlus made, and kinda goofy, but I found them to be a pretty good time.

My parents have a Wii but only play the like wii sports and stuff, so I can't really recommend something.
Though, I've always heard good things about No More Heroes 1 and 2.
Also, the Metroid Prime Trilogy, definitely that.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know any Wii games firsthand, but I had to say...

The title made me giggle like a twelve year old.

Resident Evil 4 and Zelda: Twilight Princess are the best games on the Wii as far as I'm concerned. The only other Wii games I've finished are Super Mario Galaxy (which is fun but apparently the sequel is better), and Goldeneye (which was OK but I don't like FPS controls on the Wii very much), and The Godfather: Blackhand Edition (which was pretty good).

Super Paper Mario was decent but got boring as it took them too long to introduce new elements, in my opinion. Super Mario Bros Wii annoyed me because it gave me 5 lives to complete an entire world and if I lost all my lives after beating 5 levels I'd have to restart the entire world. Mario Kart was decent but Mario Kart 64 is still more fun.

To be honest, Resident Evil 4 was the only game I enjoyed during my short time with my Wii.

So i started playing with my Wii again
So I started giggling (yep, i'm 31 going on 6) and my wife says "what you laughing at" so I say "some bloke is playing with his wee".

Never before have I seen my wife look down at me with such pity and a glint in her that said "what the fuck did I marry".

One day i'll grow up.

If you don't have a PS2, Okami is a great pick. Personally I prefer the PS2 version, but it's still good on the Wii. One of the best games to come out during that decade if I say so.

I've heard a lot of good things about Epic Mickey (...if you get by the stupid moral choice system and a camera that needs to sober up). Also heard good things about Sonic Colours and No More Heroes 1 and 2.

I'm also looking for some good Wii games, so I'll most likely peek at your thread and take notes.

A thousand times this, RE4 was already the best of the bunch but the Wii controls made it fantastic.

Depends what sort of game you're looking for, but the Metroid Prime trilogy always gets a recommendation, along with Mario Galaxy. Another great idea is to get your hands on a Gamecube controller and play some of the truly excellent Gamecube games that are now probably very cheap.

Metroid Prime Collection, if you can find it. Or just Prime 3.

Goldeneye 007 Wii.
These three are absolutely bloody essential. I don't play my wii that often but i do play these titles to bits. Also, Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2. best Mario games since Super Mario 64. (But i am biased, Super Mario 64 was my first ever video game and the Galaxy games were basically a love letter to me)

Indeed if the divine word of Yahtzee demands that you get a game you'd best get it. :D

Seriously though, get that game. :D

Monster Hunter Tri. Online community is still alright.
This. Get a classic controller pro. The game is hard enough on it's own without being hamstrung by the wii's awkward control scheme.
