I lost my passport when I moved into the house I'm currently renting with some friends. Then I found it again, a couple of days after I'd sent off the forms to have it cancelled. Which means I now have an obsolete passport and have to pay about £60-£70 to get a new one if I want to go abroad...

I don't generally tend to lose things, so let's see... ah! I have lost my trusty umbrella somewhere and the evidence would suggest it is simply gone at this point, alas. Of course I say trusty, but when you've used duct tape to patch holes in the umbrella itself it is probably time to get a new one anyway.
