Neither the color of your hair nor anything about you specifically had anything to do with the intentions of those boys. For fairness of full disclosure I had a similar thing happen to me last winter. I was walking home in the snow at the side of a road when all of a sudden I felt a heavy slap on my back. At the same time I heard obnoxious laughter amid the tire squeal of a car that had swerved over sharply in order to throw a snowball at my back before speeding off. In reality I thought the prank was a little funny myself but I was angered that the car swerved into me on an icy road at speed. Had the driver not been able to control his car he could have killed me for such a prank. That is what pissed me off more than the snowball.

Whenever I hear that "gingers don't have a soul" bullshit, it really gets me pissed off. Why should we discriminate against them cause of the color of their hair? You'd think we'd gotten past petty bullshit like this, but no.
I have a ginger friend and he was one of the coolest people I've ever known, so I'm especially peeved when I hear about shit like this.

I used to get shit for red hair, but I wasn't ginger, my hair was almost blood red until I was about 14 when it went alot darker for some reason. Goes red in the summer though, I used to get bullied and in fights and stuff alot. Never spat on or anything.

You're comparing the abuse ginger people get to the abuse that black Americans faced. Slavery is a large part of black American history, so if you compare discrimination of red heads to the discrimination of black Americans, you are immediatlely linking the two.

You can't just compare red heads to black Americans and then be surprised when the natural link to slavery is made. Same way you couldn't compare red heads to Native Americans and then be surprised when someone mentions genocide. "Uhhhh... I never did. Kinda funny how you immediately see "Native American" and think "genocide" though. Many races in the world have had genocide committed on them."

2. It's impossible to compare slavery of black people to gingers because for gingers it never happened to them on such a scale, however both are discriminated against quite a lot for essentially the same reasons, blacks for being blacks and red-heads for being red-heads and what they "represent".

You said being ginger is like being the new black. Now, to me, that implies that gingers are suffering under institutionalized discrimination and slavery, as that is what black Americans suffered under.

I have a feeling now that you were using hyperbole and I failed to pick it up. If that's the case, then I'm sorry. If it's not the case, then I think you need to be a bit more specific. Current trends in black American discrimination are only a small part of their discrimination as a whole. So the blanket statement "the new black" contains not just modern discrimination, but the pursuit for emancipation and civil equality.
