I was reading an article about skyrim ([link]http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-9529-The-Elder-Scrolls-V--Skyrim-In-Depth-Hands-On-Preview-%E2%80%93-The-Long-Road-to-Falkreath.html[/link] ) and i saw that you can apparently join the imperial legion! this was one of the factions that i most enjoyed in Morrowind and was sad to see was unjoinable in Oblivion. (there was the mod that did let you join, but its unfinished and therefore very buggy) seeing this only makes me more anxious for the game to come out.

what do you guys think? what are you most looking forward to in Skyrim?

edit: dammit october! why do you have to come before november?

Does "Everything" count?

It really does sound like Bethesda are taking the fingers from their noses and working hard to make the ultimate Elder Scrolls game. I've already pre-ordered it (I don't earn enough for the CE), and I am SO F***ING EXCITED for it.

I look forward to shooting vast quantities of energy out of my hands like goddamn Goku.

Didn't think I'd be the only one intrigued by the little mention of joining the Legion.

As for what I'm most excited for? Well exploring Skyrim in general is what makes up most of my JOYOUS THOUGHTS OF FANTASTICAL WONDER.
A more specific mention of forward-viewing-of-anticipation would be my attempt to stab a Dragon to death with Dual Knives[footnote]Apparently a popular choice[/footnote] and, failing that gloriously, kill it with whatever magic I may have handy at the time while I scream in fear.
Victory will of course be followed by a failed attempt to sing the popular bit from Final Fantasy Fanfare Thingy.

I'm looking forward to making a character as close to Garret as I possibly can. Oblivion was awesome at this.

Patrick Stewart (relevant because he voiced in Oblivion) is a family friend. Found this out the day I got my hands on Oblivion. I nearly exploded.

True Story.

I bet he's your father.

That makes me sad.

But when I'm sad, I stop being sad, and be more awesome instead.

True Story.

As much as it pains me to dispense with the Barney Stinson references...

He lives on the moor my uncle keeps. At the moment we're putting down a rabbit infestation for him because he's re landscaping the garden, so I think he's going to rent it out. Which is a shame, but then that could mean we'll see more of him if he has to come and deal with landlord issues.

OT: Can't wait to build my Nord mercenary/dragon slayer.

well lets see here, off the top of my head i can say, dragons, giants, mamoths, god o'l beathesda stories, getting into dragon debates that will shake the heavens with their magic and power, and lets not forget being the only ork to ever multi-class as a mage and rouge!..no, really, it never gets old when you pick the lock on some unsuspecting dude's house before popping his ear drums by bellowing out a good o'l WAAAAAGH! and then reducing his pitiful body to ash with a fireball, and i honestly doubt that will get less fun this time around!

I so want to run around and arrest people. I hope there are law-breakers.

Somebody steals an apple, you run over to them, press the ability hotkey and it forces a conversation, ?Stop right there criminal scum, pay the court a fine or serve your sentence, your stolen goods are now forfeit.?

Then the AI makes a decision, which you can choose to ignore :p

It basically lets you kill people on the streets with no repercussions. And if you want, you can call for back up so everybody can get their kicks.

What if I'm the Gray Fox? Or this games equivelent of the Gray Fox? What happens? Does Skyrim explode or will they just not let me join?
