And for some reason, I felt a pulsing pain next to my eye after a (not very long) period of working out. I had a similar issue when I was playing basketball a few days ago. I'm quite athletic, but I suspect that there is some other reason (not enough of nutrient X) or perhaps something else. I have no clue what to google to solve this, so here I am.

So, any solutions?

It just sounds like spasmodic muscular contraction, likely due to exercise induced high blood pressure; if the muscle is proximal to an artery that's under particularly high pressure (and it will be) then involuntary muscle contractions aren't too surprising. Unless the issue persists then I really wouldn't bother about it.

If this keeps up then you should probably consider seeing a physician.

Probably should have put this in the Advice forum if you really wanted serious responses. Though I have to question the wisdom of soliciting the Escapist for medical advice.

It's never lupus.

Time to intiate a series of tests that will nearly kill you and probably come under the purview of gross negligence.

But I'm House.

I get my answers.

I see what you did there

Maybe you burst a blood vessel or something. Honestly though, I have no idea. For all I know it needs a new battery or, maybe you just need to blow the dust out of it NES style.

It's an alien mind control device. Obviously. You should see a medical professional to get it removed.

I don't think I've eaten a lot or a little by my standards, although BGH, your answer makes sense to me. Sravankb's does too, I mean I don't think I've eaten a little, but thinking back perhaps I have.

Thanks for the help, the troll answers made me laugh to be honest.

The MRI is out of order.

Time to improvise, using a milk carton, a paperclip and some chewing gum.

So you're HouseGuyver?

Oh, and OT: I'd suggest getting checked out, but that's what I tell everyone who asks me for medical advice or complains about something that sounds bad to me.

What? No space for this fluffy pink slipper in this wonderful improvisation of yours.

PS. Awesome Avatar. Wolfs are badass, but Wolfs spreading coloured radiation all over the place are even cooler.

You're welcome. Frankly, troll answers are what makes these threads worth reading.

That sounds like the earlier stages of the new zombie virus I have been working on for the past 7 years. I wonder how it got out...

On a serious note you should probably run over to the doctor to see whats wrong. Probably nothing, but you cant been too careful.
