you could have taken down an "inconvenient truth" a lot of that stuff was found to be falsified or at best exaggerated.

Remember 2005 was the worst Hurricane season in history and 06 and 07 were going to be worse

I don't believe that "global climate change" a.k.a "bad weather" is real. I think its the greatest hoax of all time. But if that's really how you wrote your paper I would not pass you either. On my paper on global warming it took me months of research after I picked my target. The thing that kicked off the BS fest. Al Gore and his movie. It ended up being 15 pages and I got an A on it. Its amazing I got an A because I got to UW Milwaukee one of the most liberal schools in the country.

on a second note I said that I believed that taking care not to wreck ecosystems is important but when it snows 4 feet and I need to drive somewhere I'm using a hummer, not a Prius.

Well, way to throw perfectly good money out the window for a South Park joke.

I hope you're proud.
I did it for teh lulz
So - assuming this story is real and not just a lame attempt to get attention - you threw away two years' worth of study purely so you could rip off South Park, and then when people try to explain to you how stupid that is you start regurgitating 4chan memes.

Smooth.
Amen.

Channers aren't necessarily the brightest bunch. (Not since 12 year olds learned to internet anyway...)

I don't think anyone could have said it more smoothly.

General Studies but I need a good grade in it in case I don't get the desired results for my other subjects.
You're in high school right?
General studies isn't even a real lesson, it's just some kind of filler that has been implimented with form teachers and subsequently an exam.
General studies isn't anything anybody is really going to give a shit about in the long run, a friend of mine wrote about why he'd want to find a lightsaber for his.
The exam was on Space travel.

General studies is honestly nothing but something to boost your grades.

My exam was on global warming and its consequences but instead I wrote about how global warming was a waste of time and that we should really concentrate our efforts on finding Manbearpig.

I hate myself.
YOU DID WHAT?!

You'd better think of yourself as lucky if the examiner even gets the South Park reference yet alone if you get a good grade.

Oh, and you do realise you have probably just failed that exam on epic proportions now, and that exams aren't cheap to re-sit and take a year to re-sit as well so if this is true, you have basically wasted in total about £50 and about 3 years of yor life, for a South Park reference.

Well done there.

I congradulate you on throwing away such time and money and effort.

However, I believe that if you wrote the paper well enough, and used very awesome (yes grammar I know) grammar and punctuation and persuasiveness, then maybe you could get a good grade?

Truly this. I call shenanigans on this story - even if it is true it's still really quite stupid.

Meh, its not that big a deal. For things like general studies, no one puts any effort in because most Uni's don't even accept it. In my AS Citizenship (which i replaced general studies with because it was boring) I felt confident enough that I had already done enough to pass that I wrote a page of Chuck Norris jokes at the end. They have to mark the good stuff, and they aren't allowed to deduct marks for irrelevant stuff :D
