Games would finally break alongside their consoles- a few days out of the warranty period.

And I would continue only playing Abandonware and Indie games

All of the characters in Bioware RPGs would hang around all day in coffee shops pretending to do something important on Apple devices instead of talking about their past and dying too quickly in battles.

Maybe EA would publish more games based on OpenGL, rather than Microsoft's DirectX?

Apple is not all that interested in gaming.
They know that hardcore gamers will never buy an all-in-one iMac or a mac mini anyway. Those form factors are just not good for gaming.

I think Apple is better off staying in their "niche market" with high profit margins instead of going mainstream and trying to take over the whole desktop market. Why would they want to compete with Dell, HP and all the others if they can stay in their stylish little niche?

Well, there wouldn't be a PC side of things. There'd be a Mac side of things, which means there'd be less features for a higher cost.

All their games would become overpriced & poor quality.
Oh wait.
OHHHH

OT: They would be shit to start off with and have a few different features every time that any other company would have had in the first model

I went there

The only good thing about the games would be that you could download your own custom soundtrack for a measy one hundred dollars *sarcasm*

But, seeing as EA's reputation is already crap, it could be something good. I mean, if Mac took the same energy to make a game that say, Infinity Ward did, imagine the awesome stuff we could get.

I'd actually be okay with it if they bought EA and Infinity Ward or BioWare and said, "You are to make us money" before leaving the room. At least those guys know what they're doing.

(Unless you didn't hear that, I'm burning Treyarch in this too)

And a clarifier I forgot to put in: I would be okay with it only if they put Infinity Ward and/or BioWare in charge of EA. You know, get someone who knows what they're doing.

Fuck the PC side, what would happen to all the great studios they own? What would become of Visceral, DICE and Bioware? All these great developers would have to give themselves over to Activision. We'd be truly screwed then.

well you know Know I think single handedly killing the PC game market is a pretty big deal, as in would all games need to be playes on a mac? (I doubt that anyway)

the studios wouldnt be in danger (kinda), PC gaming..mabye, I mean it dosnt make sense for apple to go at developers like a kid with a magnifying glass to ants

thats why I did this thread, I dont know anything about the specifics of what this would acctually mean

The mere thought of it still scares the shit out of me.

In the words of many:

Do we care?

I cant really think off the top of my head any excellent EA labeled PC games.

Mass Effect? :p

But yeah, I can see a all the current sports games being relegated to iPhone aps. And they'd probably push for more games using the iPad. So... we'd have even more casual gaming stuff.
