I hate apple. I hate the company for the stupid image they try to project on themselves and PC users. I don't care how revolutionary or great their products may or may not be. I would not care if they actually made decent products at a decent price.

If EA was bought by Apple, I would never buy another EA game. Which sucks because EA has some pretty good talent under their roof.

Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Crysis, Bad Company 2 (all the Battlefield games actually), The Sims, C&C, Sim City?

Alright, I can imagine a few of those vary on taste, but they're still all distributed at the least by EA (if not fully published by them) and are all critical and commercial successes.

what makes you think that the guys who designed this:

would be able to make anything as "complex" i.e one colour isn't going to cut it, as box art, i'm not an apple hater, but their designs are a little stale.

OT: I doubt that apple would be the least interested in buying and as far as i have heard EA isn't on the market, but hypothetical are always interesting, i think that ea's casual developers would benefit from this, and with apple just being able to highlight them in the app store they wouldn't need to spend anything at all on marketing.

As for the more hardcore games i dont think there would be any changes, apple realize that the people buying their pcs don't have any real interest in those kinds of games and that they don't make their money on the macs, but rather on the mp3 and phone market, so at first we might not see that many changes as a port is costly, and the guys already working for EA would stay in charge, later when they release a new OS they might start marketing it as "the new gaming system" that would be easier to port to and program for, and then we would likely see some changes like titles published by ea would come out a couple of months later, but the pc would still be supported, and even if it isn't, we have all the pirates/hackers so the games would still be available.
