Well, I did some googling and apparently a lot of the people organizing the con were teenagers (the youngest was apparently 13 years old). So I'm not really surprised that the con was such a flop.

I wish I was kidding. Granted, it doesn't look like the 13-year-old had any major role in organizing the con. And the Night Vale people where being porked over from having to pay a lot of travel costs themselves.

This was basically a big demonstration of how not to run a Convention.
