My problem is that I'll often forget to use it until I'm fighting the last guy in a group.

Also I went for a sneaky character, which I realize is kind of counter-intuitive.

And every time I use it, i end up waiting around after the battle to change back so I can loot the corpses.

Guess I'm just boring

I like it, but since I'm a mage my health is quite low, so I have to rely on being able to kill quickly in wolf form or being able to scare people into fleeing with the roar. I do like the fact that you can slaughter random citizens in a town and as long as nobody sees you transform/transform back they do not suspect you. Oh, that fucking preacher in Whiterun had it coming, one too many times did I hear his annoying chanting, "YOUR VERY LIIIIIIIIIIIVES?"

Any quest regarding him be damned.

Handy tip: Use the Z ability when nomming on bodies in order to skip the eating animation. You're invulnerable while in crit-cam mode, but no such luck while eating, so don't do it if you're surrounded.

Also...was anyone else a little miffed that they patched out the fear howl? Now it just reveals nearby enemies, even through walls. It's fun, but tactically the few seconds of fear the howl used to give was invaluable for escaping, or just fearing groups of enemies before entering combat. Hmm, should do my research first, seems there are different powers, but mine is stuck on the life detect one, anyone know a way to switch them?

As for the low damage, I -think- it depends on how good your one-handed skill is, but I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug because I only noticed my skill going up when my sword was still equipped in my hand in werewolf mode, they may have fixed that too. Either way, power attacks are needed as the additional effect is that they ragdollise enemies temporarily and throw them back giving you a breather and a chance to refocus your attacks/run away etc.

the roar ability that makes anything - ANYTHING - run away from you is incredibly handy... so if i'm having trouble with a fight (damn snow sabre cats/group of snow trolls) i merely turn, roar, and slash while they're running away...

but other than the particularly hard fights and a bit of running, i don't really use it

It's been pretty damn helpful for me, and I just find it to be really fun. For those not doing a whole lot of damage, I'm pretty sure it might be dependent on your one-handed skill for some stupid reason, but I might be wrong.

Have gone on a few rampages across Skyrim, but it's helped me out in some tough spots too.

I love the whole concept of being a werewolf, but I only ever use it when I need to run fast. There's no real combat value in Beast Form for me. You're way too fragile, with no conventional means of recovery, and the damage you deal in Beast Form is downright PITIFUL. I have tried many times to use Beast Form in combat and enjoy it, but I can never kill anything because the damage I deal is so horrendously low, that you can't even call yourself a glass cannon. Maybe a glass BB gun.
Curiosity - does the damage you do in beast form have anything to do with your level in any of the weaponry skills? because other users seem o be having a whale of a time tearing apart anything that looks at them funny in this game.
I honestly haven't got any idea. Doesn't look like it to me, though. My Two-Handed Orc did the same damage my pure magic High Elf did. :/

I enjoy Beast form, but there are no consequences. I would like to see a small negative to the werewolf, for instance, you HAVE to turn at a full moon or something like that.

There seem to be several negatives to Vampire form, but almost none at all for werewolf.

It didn't really change my gameplay at all actually, I just did what I normally do, versus vampire where you have to do certain things or the disease progresses and makes it worse for you.

Yeah, I never had a problem with damage.

I've actually cleared out both Whiterun and Markarth of EVERY SINGLE GUARD in a single transformation. Beast Form is pretty...well...beastly once you learn that you can cancel 'Feed' into Howl of Horror.
