In... Central Scotland born and raised,
At festivals is where I spent most of my days,
Chillin' and maxin' and relaxin' all cool,
Listening to rock music and plannin' for school,
When my mum came in, she was up to no good!
Told me to go live out in the neighbourhood!
I tried to reason with her but she just didn't care
She said: "I don't care where you're goin' but you can't stay here"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near,
The license plate said "Escapist"
They were intelligent there,
If anything I thought my approach was weird,
But I thought: "Nah, forget it, Can I get some help here?"

I pulled, out a backpack which colour was great,
And yelled to my house "Peace out! Smell ya later"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally here,
to go find a home
somewhere out there.

Dun duh dun!

I wrote this song so you can sing it and tell your story.
No thanks necessary, just doing my part.
You are a genius. You made my crappy week with that.

Out of curiosity, how have you got a conditional if your UCAS application hasn't been sent off yet?

Does your government have an agency?

In Australia Centrelink would see that you receive money while attending school, give you money towards rent and see to your accommodation.

Wow. You really got a lot of attention with this post.

On topic? I was thrown out of my house every winter for six years for various reasons. My friends used to joke that when their parents were putting up christmas decorations, I started packing my bags. If you don't have any friends you can stay with, try to offer classmates various favors for staying in their house.

You could start selling drugs or prostituting yourself, those are both very lucrative professions. Or you could go to the cops because what your mother is doing is illegal, but this seems more like you want attention than you actually want to solve the problem. I feel like if you wanted to solve the problem you'd be out making money, trying to fix things with your mother, or finding a comfortable park bench to crash on rather than fucking around on the Escapist.

And that Fresh Prince post was rather brilliant Max. Or I meant Martin. Yeah, Martin.

That's awful :( So sorry to hear about your predicament. I thought MY mom was rough :/ Anyways, I can't offer much help beyond what I've seen on page 1 alone. My only real suggestion is to see if any of your friends or extended family can help you until you can figure out an alternative arrangement. Sorry I can't help more than that :(

Best of luck to you, hope everything works out! Just hang in there :)

EDIT:

Or perhaps he's looking for honest suggestions to see what other options he might have that he could have overlooked? Just a thought. I'm not an attention-seeking whore (that was my first ex), and honestly, I might do the same thing as this fella's doing. Internet has lots of people on it, I wouldn't say he's made a mistake in looking for help on it. Any helpful suggestions he can take to heart, and pointless criticisms can be ignored and disregarded. Give the kid a break.

Most governments have some sort of foster-care programs and whatnot. Talk to your school first and see if they can get you connected and save you some grief.

Jeez, good luck =/ I really hope you get something figured out. Your mother needs a slap.

long story cut very short:

my mum is throwing me out the house for various reasons i'd rather not list.
I'm 16.
I don't have a job.
my only source of income is £30 a week from my school & £40 a month from my dad (which will now, likely, stop)

help?

I don't even know what I'm expecting you guys to tell me, but help anyway?

& please don't tell me to try reason with her because she CANNOT BE REASONED WITH.

EDIT:
why i'm getting chucked out:
Because my mum found out what I'm planning to do after my 6th year of high school (I'm in 5th year right now), because I'm planning to go to Download festival, and because my room is messy because I've been clearing out my drawers & stuff. Throwing me out is an over-reaction, I suppose, but she really doesn't give a shit.

I was planning to go to a university near London because it's well known for being good at providing the course I'm after. Moving from Glasgow to London is a pretty big jump for me. This set her off and she told me that I'm "going to need the fucking practice".
My friend had something similar to this when he was around 16(he's 21) if you find a job at some overnight camps you can live there while working there and continuing college if need be(my friend didn't include college in his schedule, but you can).

EDIT: I am an american, but i do know there are some camps that can provide such conditions in the UK.

So....she's angry at you for going for whatever sours you are after, and since the move will be large......she got pissed?
Are you SURE she can't be reasoned? and the fact she's kicking you out seems to be an overreaction sooooooo, perhaps she bluffs?
I'm sorry, i didn't answer your question did i? The best i can figure is a friends house.......sorry, besides that, i'm out.
Sorry i couldn't be of much help.

I have a lot of friends who were homeless squaters my advice is that if you do end up on the street, learn to "Spange" and to play "Hey mister..."(I>E: Hey mister could you spare some change?) These are life savers i once made saw my friends make $20 in two hours. also depends on friends for i warm place to stay as well as a free meal i usualy offer it to a friend who on hard time. My house was like a hotel for alota my friends at one time, they spend the night at least twice a week.

Consider staring in her bedroom window all night.

And if she threw you out at 16 "for practice", you may want to consider never, ever, ever going back. It reeks of about six abusive homes I know of over here.

Sounds like you don't have the best mother in the world, sorry to say.

Jokingly, I suggest grabbing a damn good box.

On a more serious note, I would suggest looking for some support.
Most local "acivitity centres", you know, the places they try to draw in "aimless youths" with, could probably give you some advice.

Oh wow.
I'm not giving up. I've spent the past few hours perfecting my CV/resume and tomorrow after school I'm basically running around my area looking for any shop that looks like it'd be open in the evenings to hand in CVs.
I don't know if anyone has given advice on this, but while it's certainly worth looking for shop work you'll probably have more luck with fast food places or call centers. It's also worth canvassing any huge office blocks you have nearby. Your local papers will have vacancy sections and even if you can't get the job they are offering if they are hiring there's a chance there's something else on the pipeline you may be able to get. Also be enthusaistic, it's really hard to overstate how impressed places are if you can convince them that you really want to work there in particular. If you get an interview try and get a chance to visit their website (libraries should offer free access) and find something to be impressed by. You want something that says why you really want that job now, and in the future.
