Not true, if the OP is scottish as it seems, under Scottish Law at the age of 16 you are considered an Adult and if you are living at your perents home and they tell you to leave, the authoritys can do nothing to stop it. Personaly by the sounds of it as the OP has'nt made any further reasons as to why she is being kicked up it sounds like the reason maybe monumentaly dumb like 'I'm leaving school to be a reality TV star' or some bollocks. What I say is like a few here who have made sense have said, grow up. Don't go to Download, get a job or higher education and treat your perents with some bloody respect if they have had enough of you to point where they are about/going to throw you out then you've done something they find truly unacceptable and you either need to grow up or accept the conciquenses of your actions to your perents who have probably spet a hell of alot of money on your and perhaps your education.

In short, stop bleeting about here, drop the Download festival idea and kiss your perents asses and do what they say.
Excuse me?
1. Learn to fucking spell before you criticise me.
2. The reasons are exactly as listed there.
3. I'm not going to Download now.
4. Wanting to go to Download and/or University in London is "truly unacceptable"? Fuck you, pal.

Go to social services family unit and get them to help you with mediation services. other than that just live by your mums rules, it is her house after all.

I know you've said that you can live on your own at 16, and that means you can be thrown out? In the US, we can get emancipated and live on our own at 16, but it is still illegal to be thrown out until 18...

You are allowed to be kicked out.
But other than that I don't really know how to help sorry.
Hope everything turns out ok. Don't want to think about you and don't want to lose a member of the Escapist.

In... Central Scotland born and raised,
At festivals is where I spent most of my days,
Chillin' and maxin' and relaxin' all cool,
Listening to rock music and plannin' for school,
When my mum came in, she was up to no good!
Told me to go live out in the neighbourhood!
I tried to reason with her but she just didn't care
She said: "I don't care where you're goin' but you can't stay here"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near,
The license plate said "Escapist"
They were intelligent there,
If anything I thought my approach was weird,
But I thought: "Nah, forget it, Can I get some help here?"

I pulled, out a backpack which colour was great,
And yelled to my house "Peace out! Smell ya later"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally here,
to go find a home
somewhere out there.

Dun duh dun!

I wrote this song so you can sing it and tell your story.
No thanks necessary, just doing my part.
That was . . . amazing.

Just doing my bit to help the community.

That sucks, I've gotten kicked out a few times. I don't know what services they have in the UK - but try and find a home that you can stay at. Most of them are very safe - but still be careful.

If all else fails, sleep under an overpass - they're guarded from rain and snow; and can be warm if you move away from the wind.

This happened to my mother, many years ago. Here's what she did:

1. Call all your friends and see which ones will let you stay on their couch.
2. Sell everything you can't easily take with you.
3. Keep trying to find a job.

She spent an entire summer this way until she got back on her feet.

um...get a job?
Sorry, I'm in the UK. Recession ahoy. My area still has a shitload of unemployment. I'm competing, not only with people who have been made redundant but all the people in my year and the year below at school that are 16/17 and now looking for jobs.
blegh that sucks
