Right. I've managed to wrangle my way into getting a 360 Slim. It hasn't arrived yet, but any advice on what games I should get when it does? I don't want to rebuy games (so no Orange Box) and I have a competant PC, so don't recommend any games that are better on PC (e.g. Dragon Age). Also, any tips for cheap Gold and points, please (preferably in the UK). I think Argos are selling 2100 point cards for £15.

I hear that ODST has all of the multiplayer Halo 3 DLC on the disc, so I'd far rather get that for multiplayer.

ODST is the way to go for multiplayer as it does indeed have all the downloadable content as well. Campaign is meh though.

I'd check out some of the good XBLA exclusives as well. Geometry Wars 2 being my favourite.

...Don't submerge it in liquid?

Get Bioshock or The Orange Box... Or RDR, RDR was quite tasty...

True, but if you are going by overall which is better, Halo 3 is the better of the two. The single player for Halo 3 is superior in every way. Oh, and ODST is short. You could also try Gears of War.

@ Boared: Got Orange Box for PC already. I'll have the look at the rest.
@ Shepard's: Perhaps, maybe. I'll probably pick either up I if I can find it cheap.
@ tlozoot: Yeah, hence why I'm looking for cheap points. How's the Perfect Dark port, anyway? I missed it the first time round and fancy giving it a go.

You should search online for the best deals on X-Box Live Gold, I bought a 13 month card for £27, and I'm sure you could easily find a years subscription for less than £30.

It's the same with Point's cards, never buy them directly from Microsoft as you'll be paying the highest prices, but if you shop around you can always get them cheaper.

I can't recommend Batman: Arkham Asylum or the Mass Effect games enough. Just make sure you play ME1 before ME2, because ME2 is such a huge improvement that you'll never be able to go back and play the first one again. (I still loved it while I was playing it, note.)
