So, I'm getting a PS3 but...

I seem to be stuck in a rather awkward personal position. You see, my mother and younger brother are set for moving to the other side of the country within the month and the little *shit head is taking MY 360 and games with him. I'm stuck living with dad with potentially no gaming opportunities. This is why I've gone "Bahh!" to the 360 and am going out to purchase a PS3 within the week. My only problem is that I haven't owned a Sony product since my original PS1 and therefore need you wonderful people of the Escapist to throw suggestions of games and/or BluRay movies at me.

NOTE: And please don't simply say "get a PC". I have a laptop that does alright but isn't fit for current generation gaming.

*I love my younger bro but he needs a fitting title atm as you can probably understand.

just replace the games he took with him with the PS3 version (excluding exclusifes like Halo) its online community is free so get some online games while you,re at it

Well, it all depends on what you're interested in. For FPSs I've heard good things about Killzone 2 and Resistance 1 & 2. There's always LittleBigPlanet which is great to just screw around with when you are bored. InFamous is great fun as well, and of course there's always a bunch games that aren't exclusives.

Well, it all depends on what you're interested in. For FPSs I've heard good things about Killzone 2 and Resistance 1 & 2. There's always LittleBigPlanet which is great to just screw around with when you are bored. InFamous is great fun as well, and of course there's always a bunch games that aren't exclusives.

Well, I'm mainly a 360 gamer myself, but I'll give some games that are good and are multi-console/PS3 exclusive:

InFamous
Split/Second
Bioshock 1/2
Dragon Age: Origions
CoD 5: WaW (I LOVE Nazi Zombies mode)
3D Dot Game Heroes
Ratchet And Clank games
And a bunch of games online.

I found Killzone 2 to be a complete let down and boring FPS
