1. Demon's Souls is an absolute must :) but make sure you get the black phantom edition for the walk through!
2. Oblivion
3. Bioshock1/2
4. The Darkness - really cheap now, I know its not a great game but I enjoyed it for a quick romp :)
5. Resistance :)
6. Darksiders - if you like slash and smash with a little but of puzzle :)

Blu ray wise, whatever you watch normally, but things that have good scenic bits and cgi, such as LOTR. For some reason my mum thought it was acceptable to get twilight on blu ray, which has nothing in it that needs high definition... or any content worth watching and buying :)

I suggest Advent Children Complete.

It was much better than the original version.

As for a game, I suggest Wipeout. Great music and it's one of the few racing series I like.

Little Big Planet
MAG
Metal Gear Solid 4
ModNation Racers Big time!
Motorstorm

I hear good things about Limbo "psn game" http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/puzzle/limbo/review.html

Im a huge fan of Metal Gear solid. Check that out, never had the 4th, but the second and third are great. You might wanna just play those first, get a hold on what its like. CHEAP CLASSICS are always a good way to go.

Everyone raves about Uncharted 2.

I have a friend who swears by ratchet and Clank.
Limbo certainly now has me intrigued... I've always enjoyed haunting, abstract visuals and that kind of dark lonely atmosphere so looks like a game for me. Thanks for link. ^^

It is very easy. If you paid for the 360 and the games, they are yours. You should tell this to your brother and just take the 360. What's the worst that could happen? Maybe 'He's telling mommy', but then you have a valid argument, cuz it's your money =)

glad to hear it :D I really hope it does well, I like the idea of 2D and "down-loadable" games becoming a bigger part of the industry. score one for word of mouth marketing!

It's been said many times, but of course Metal Gear Solid 4.

I love that game so much, it's got it all.

Thanks for the linked vid! Looks pretty good. Character design reminds me of PainKiller of all things.
Ehh... That game is kinda fun the first run through...

But Jackie boy moves sooooo slowly, like someone broke his knees. That and all the fancy powers suck except the gun. As well the handguns are the only weapon i used except for the rifle when i was forced to.

If you can pick it up cheap then sure. Any more then 15 bucks is a waste to me.

Killzone 2 is an awesome game though. Resitance one is really good to but the sequel kinda assimilated what all the other games were doing. The multiplayer more then made up for it though.

I'm going to suggest a whole bunch of games, some of them multi-platform, scream and pinch me if you already have played some of these games:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Killzone 1 & 2 (I haven't played them, so I wouldn't know if they're any good, but I've heard that they're amazing)

Resistance 1 & 2 (I'm fairly sure that these are PS3 exclusives, but even so, I've heard many good things about them)

Oblivion

Fallout 3

FarCry 2

Red Faction: Guerrilla (I fucking highly recommend that you go out and buy the shit out of this game)

BF:BC2 (assuming you don't already have it)

Dead Space (it's fun, but only for the first couple runs through it, but it's cheap at this point, I'd say about no more than twenty dollars)

Little Big Planet 1 & 2 (it's like G-MOD for the PS3)

Burnout: Paradise (it's like a crash simulator)

And... That's all I've got for now, happy gaming, man.
Don't forget about all the good games from the PSN

I couldn't agree more, I completely ignored it when it first came out, but got it for about £12 pre-owned a few weeks ago.

And it is amazing!

InFamous, Dragon Age, 3D Dot Game Heroes, God of War 3 (and the 1&2 collection, since it seems you may not have played those), Little Big Planet, Uncharted for over the shoulder shooting, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, The Pixel Junk games off of PSN, Burn Zombie Burn off of PSN, Killzone...and I've heard many good things about the Ratchet and Clank games, but haven't personally played any yet. It's my next goal.

I bought my PS3 for three reasons:

1) my 360 was away 4-6 weeks for repairs (heh)
2) Sony will release The Last Guardian someday
3) Demon's Souls

There's just something about that game. It's got so many flaws, but I played the hell out of it. Probably because it's a genuinely unique experience; you won't find anything else like it on any platform right now.

I only have three games for my PS3 and they where all really good. Little Big Planet is one of my favorite games ever so get that. inFamous is a lot of fun to and you should get it. Rent Uncharted 2 if you can because once you beat the game you're pretty much set.
