You've worked so hard, don't give into temptation, go to a meeting, call your sponsor, STAY CLEAN!
Well it didn't really RUIN it then, did it, you big hyperbolist? For all you know, without WoW you might've been distracted by something MUCH worse. Like...heroin! Or Pogs!denseWorm said:Without wanting to tell a stranger, anything really, it did result in me not doing 'homework' or it's equivalent for about three years solid... which has an appreciable impact in the kind of international, high stakes, degree-chasing education system I found myself in. A terminal impact.
ps. It has long since been overcome, but it was a huge setback.
As a long time WoW player and an early TOR adapter, that simply isn't true. TOR isn't nearly as bad as its ardent detractors would have you believe, but it falls well short of WoW in some critical areas. Combat/engine responsiveness is a big one. Content depth and breadth is another. PvP is a huge one, TOR's PvP was naff at release and is still rubbish now, they have a LONG way to go in that regard. And their class design leaves much to be desired.deth2munkies said:I'm gonna be brutally honest with you: there's nothing WoW does that TOR doesn't do at least almost as well besides the ocmmunity, and TOR is going F2P soon. If all your friends are gone from WoW, there is no point in playing it any longer, might as well not bother paying a sub fee.
