Im going to be getting a few tattoo's..... the coolest part is that right now my aunt is dating a tattoo artist ^.^ he's been doing it for like 15 years and is willing to do mine... for like cheap... anyway to stay on topic, if the only thing holding you back really is just not being able to donate blood do it.... give's your body a chance to replenish all that blood you're giving away anyway lol but as other people have said... I've seen quite a few people with the Crest of Hyrule.... I mean if you still wanna do it it's cool.... it's just EVERYWHERE

Personally, I wouldn't do it. You have to wear that forever. It would be kind of odd to be an 80 year old man with Crest of Hyrule on his arm wouldn't it? That's just my opinion.
If one is worried about how one looks at 80, one is in for a BIG surprise when one gets there.

On the other hand, OP, if you're getting a tattoo because you think it will make you unique, don't. Get if you like it, but don't get your hopes up for making a statement. It more or less is a t-shirt you can't take off.

I rather dislike Tattoos as a whole, but if I had to I'd only get two, on my right shoulder, to carry on the tradition in my family of having our military branches tattoo'd on the right shoulder. I'd get my plane and my callsign underneath it if I graduate as a fighter pilot when I being to apply for the Air Force Academy next year. Who knows what plane I'll have in five years if I do make it, but I do know the callsign.

My suggestion to anybody thinking about getting a tattoo is to watch as many episodes of Miami Ink as you can. You'll soon learn what will look great, and what wont.

I hate tattoos, the thought of them being on either my body or someone else's feels so disgusting and impure to me. I value the pureness of my skin so I would never get one in my life.

Don't get a Triforce tatoo, that is often a tramp stamp in my town
Isn't a tramp stamp usually on the lower back?

If I did get one, it would most likely be on my upper arm.

Tattoos are gay. It's more uncommon these days to not have a tattoo. If you want to be unique, don't get a tattoo, your body is already unique. Google "Crest of Hyrule tattoo" and you'll see how creative that idea is. I'm sure the ring one is popular too.
What does homosexuality have to do with anything?

Personally, I think that if you're on the fence about anything permenant and unnessary, then don't do it.
You can always get it later if you become more sure. Don't talk yourself into something you don't really want.
Aren't people like you tired of saying that? Gay means stupid these days. It's a fact, deal with it.

Just because people use the word 'gay' like that does not give you the right to use it in that sense on these forums. Mod.
gay also mean happy
so tattoos are happy? i say YES!

The logical action would be not to get one.

Since tattoo's are permanent, but your interests/tastes/whatever else inspires tattoos are not, the logical action would be NOT to get one.

I'm thinking of getting one of the Stevenage FC crest when I'm a bit older. I grew up with that club, loving every minute and moving to France was the hardest thing I've ever had to do because I couldn't (and still can't) go every single week. It's made worse by the fact that we got promoted without me being there too. I'm not sure where, mind.

I rather like tattoos.

I got the hammer of Thor (Mjolnir) on my right upper arm.
Complete with Viking style ornaments around it and two Viking style dragon heads.

A display of my Viking heritage.

I find that rather offensive.
Sure they are much more common than they used to be, but calling them gay?
That's just low.
*hands kleenex*

ok, they're not gay. they're stupid and make people look trashy.

let me guess you're one of those people who go around see some one with tats, piercing, different clothes or even a Mohawk and either cross the street to avoid them or start cracking jokes about it to your same minded friends. Douchebag lol.

OT: If the tat means something to you then do it, or even if you think its cool get it. Its your body and your canvas

I do want tattoos but it would be four leaves with each country of my nationality as the surface of the leaf. (England, Scotland, Slovakia and Poland )
it is hard to explain and also these four symbols but not on my fingers
http://ww3.foundshit.com/pictures/games/nintendo-knuckles-tattoos.jpg

also holding off donating blood i think is a small sacrifice also you can give all you want afterwards.

I'm thinking of getting three, two of my own personal design and one i saw on the side of a stephen king book.

The image on the book is something like this:

But I'm going to get a box under it that has the roman numerals of the number 19
Just pick something that will always have some kinda meaning to you.

Yes, and some day you're going to die and all your shit will be literally wasted. Your furniture, your house, your money, much of it on your own fucking funeral, and some dipshit might even get his or her hands on your stuff.

In short, live life a little. You're going to die anyways, so might as well die with a few scars. Don't die a blank slate.

Although personally I do not think your two choices are very good, OP. But I might be biased against video game tattoos or overly obvious book-related tattoos.
