As the title suggests I've got an xbox that was manufactured in 2008 and they are the ones having the problems with running GTA V. Should I get it and live on the small hope that it might run fine or should I just not get it. And yes I could always get a PS3 or a PC but why would I just to play one game? Also is it affecting all the xbox manufactured between 2006-2008 or is it just a majority of them?
So, I'm thinking of getting GTA V but I've got an older Xbox. Should I?

Go for it I say, worth the risk in my opinion. Sure, it is a fairly widespread problem, but I think it's not quite the pandemic level that journalists and gamers are making it out to be. I would be surprised if this problem was affecting more than 10% of the 2008 xbox models.
I am playing the game on a refurbished 2008 xbox 360 and have had absolutely zero problems. Not saying you are guaranteed to have no problems, but I think the chances of having issues are much slimmer than you might think.
