So, it appears I have pre-ordered Darksouls

and i have no idea why,

now let me clarify, I have just received an e-mail saying my copy of dark souls will be sent on the 6th, but i have no recollection of ever pre-ordering this game, i decided to make sure this wasn't some scam or something and found out it looks legit, so I'm running with it.

but here is the problem, i have no-idea what it is, and after a quick google search which inly turned up a few unhelpful trailers and a link to this forum, I am none the wiser, all i know is its a medieval fantasy game which is a sequel to a ps3 exclusive title.

so here's the question, can anyone just give me a synopsis so I have an idea to what Im getting?

You're getting the sequel to Demon's Souls. It's gotten rave reviews from many different sites and is apparently better than its predecessor. If it was me, I'd tell Gamestop or whatever that a mistake has been made.

well amazon has never lied to me before so if the games coming im curious if im going to like it or just cancel it, either way its easier to just run with things then panic

It's supposed to be so hard that it will ruin your life. You will snap. You'll start drinking and using all sorts of drugs. Then you'll come to a realization that life is pointless and you'll try to commit suicide. You'll fail because by the time that happens you'll become a total loser who can't do anything right. Demon's Souls was more dungeon crawler, this ones, apparently, open world, or MORE open then the hub based thing before.
