The Steam Sale is here at last! [http://store.steampowered.com/]

Time to empty your wallets in the name of ludicrously cheap games. In addition to the usual sale, this year's event has a "Gift Pile" system going, where you can achieve certain goals in games (conveniently on sale) to pick up "gifts", which can be unwrapped to reveal games, coupons, and even coal!

So, for discussion value, is there any game that people particularly want to go on sale?

That's the advantage of going absolutely hog-wild on previous sales; there ain't much left, in my tastes, that's left to buy.

So I doubt I'll get much this year. Maybe a tasty little morsel I missed during previous sales.

Hm. I don't think I have the time to play any new games. Still working on Skyrim, have to finish Dark Souls, gotta start AC:R, want to put a few more hours into BF3 MP, haven't beat STALKER: SoC (finished CoP a while back, though).

What game would I want to come on sale? Hm... I don't know, but it better be short!

I think the proper title is

Steam Sale CRASHES in!

My wish list is limited to mostly ooh shiny type games. No must haves but I may add a few if there are great sales.

RTS: I have all I could want.
FPS: I have many to finish.
RPG: I could add an old favorite.
Indie: has a few I may look into.
Point and click: I have yet to finish all of my Sam and Max

Grand total comes to about 5-7 games?

I am just waiting for it to calm down and not crash.

Eyeing that Warner Bros Package £300s worth of games for £40? I mean Batman Arkham City is in that deal with DLC and thats £50 on it's own...

Everything to do with Steam has crashed.
Perfect.

I'll probably try to get PayDay the Heist once it's cheaper.

Batman Arkham Asylum and City.
Warner Brother package is the same price as City on it's own, but it comes with both City DLC and Asylum GOTY plus a lot of other games.

Well, its a shame that all the other Warner Brother games suck ass then!
Hey now. Bastion's in there, along with the soundtrack.

Right now, I have one game bought, six on my "might get if they drop further than they are now" list and one pack of four games under "possible, but really unlikely".

I currently have Metro 2033.

I'm waiting for a DD on:
-Sonic Generations (unlikely but possible)
-Crysis+Warhead (I'm confident I can run it)
-AAaaAA (give or take a few A's) for the Awesome (would get the first for "coal" points but it's unlikely I could manage it, being a noob)
-Quake (certain it'll go cheaper than $5)
-Doom (ditto Quake but probably not at the same time)
-Total War Shogun 2 (that thing goes on sale so often I'm sure it'll go down again)

I may get the Serious Sam games before SS3, but it's really unlikely since I don't normally go for ultra-violence.

There may also be some tiny bit-games (only for less than $5 a pop though) that I may end up breaking my abstinence for.

I'm probably not going to win any games at the end of the year, but I won't be crafting my coal; I don't know how much coal makes a gift and, like Mann Co. crates, the result most likely won't be worth it.

I don't want any of them. I already have a few, anyway. I'm going to play Alpha Protocol over Christmas so that should keep me busy, well that and all the cooking and eating and drinking.
