- If you ever catch yourself thinking "I am smart enough to do this, I just can't be bothered" don't let that convince you that it's OK to slack off.
I got quite a few Cs that way.
- Some more (arguably bad) advice; decide where your interests lie, focus on high achievements in those areas, and just pass in the rest.
You try and get every subject you do perfect, you'll get way too strung out.
- Unless you looooove maths, just do normal maths, not the advanced stuff, because you'll pretty much never use anything you learn in high school maths in life (unless you take a job that requires it, such as, I don't know, a mathematician).
- Learn your way around as fast as possible. Being in your first week at high school, and getting lost... not fun. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but it shook me up (and, in my defense, the high school was waaaaaay bigger than my primary school).
