*hugs*

Life is a ***** at times. I suggest you make him/her a grave and then go down to your RSPCA place and find a new/old cat. It won't replace them, it will just be their spirit in a new cat.

You'll comprehend it soon, and then you'll want to smash things/cry and scream. Let it happen and then get on with things. It's what they would have wanted.

That sucks OT, take a little time to mourn and go rescue another homeless kitty from your local shelter. This time, I hate to sound douchebaggy, maybe have it as an indoor cat? The indoor cat is much harder to run over. Outdoor cats are like 70/30 on the "will come home tomorrow" scale while house cats are like 99.99/.01 (they are always home).

This may sound like you're disrespecting it, but go to an animal shelter, and find a cat that was abandoned or mistreated, and give it a good life. Look at it as honoring it's memory by giving another animal a good life, or maybe even saving it from being put down.

Again, you might not want to do that, but seriously, another animal will really, really help.
I find your avatar mixed with your post ironic. And i find the irony mixed with your name is also ironic...

Yeah, same happened to me. Except it died of old age. And was 20. Okay, so the same thing didn't happen to me. Also, I didn't like it very much. Sorry, I'm not helping here...

Look, man, I'm sorry for your loss, but we each have our own way of dealing with things we're attached to. Try what these people suggest, and you'll find the one that works for you.

Sorry if any of this sounds harsh...

Pets die. Just listen to some music or play some games. You didn't need us to tell you how to cope, you just wanted the attention.
Have you ever had a pet?
More importantly, someone you cared about that passed away?

last night he went missing around 6:00pm and didn't come back all night. The next morning me and my dad went looking for it and were told that it had got ran over, we showed the witness pictures and he confirmed it. We still can't find its body because some prick moved it.

He was only coming up 2 years old and I am just really shocked I didn't expect it coming, or for him to die so soon.

How do I cope with something I can't even comprehend?
Let it out. If your going to cry then do it. Just realize he never probably felt the pain if he was only two. That he is at rest. Its what I did with my dad and my pets and I eventually felt fine.

Sorry for your loss. If its any consolation, I know how you feel. One of my older cats went missing once. Turns out he got eaten by one of the many creatures living in the woods near me.

Its sucks, it really does.
This would be my excuse for a revenge hunting trip.

Wow i guess you never had a pet ....or a friend
Nice try but I've had 4 cats get killed by being run over.

'A' for effort.
So you never needed comfort after it happend? I've had pets die on me to. If I had the Escapist back then, I probably would have wanted to talk about it.
It's a pet... Pets die. Get over it.

Read up a bit, I've said I've had many pets die.

And yes, my Dad passed away 5 days before my 12th birthday, are you comparing pets' deaths to my Dad's death?

I don't have a pet, I don't particularly like cats, but can I ask? Why have you had four cats if you appear not to bond with them enough to be affected by their passing? Or is it because you have so many you've learned to become attached.

That's the reason I'm not buying a dog for my kids. If they get a puppy now the chances are it'll be dead or dying by the time they get to high school and that's the last thing they'll need at that time.

Oh, and to the OP: As someone else suggested, get a rescue cat, they all need help. It sucks to lose a pet but it won't do you any good to let it get to much to you!

I like having pets, they're fun and cute and whatnot. I don't get sad when they die because they're not that important to me.

What do you mean you can't comprehend? It was just an unfortunate event. It's not like the cat was going to live as long as you will.

Well fair enough, for me I'd find it hard not to get more attached :)

If you made the emotional pain go away just by listening to music and playing games, chances are that your feelings towards him are identical to Jackson's towards his cat.
You have pets to play around with, not to bond, and that's ridiculous.
A cat is not a toy.

If someone is as attached to their cat as I was to my Dad then all I can say is, in all honesty, they're an idiot.

I'm sorry, dude, i have a cat and I'd hate for him to die (although he's pretty old, so it won't be long until he kicks the bucket). You do have to just accept, though, that as sad as it is it's just a cat and pets die all the time.

It's probably good training for when a human you love dies.

my cat was called Neo, he was a bengal.

We decided to get him cremated but the hardest part was going down to our local council who found him and having to confirm it was ours. I didn't want my mum to do it as she was more upset.
It just happened so fast but I'm sort of Okay now it started and was over in less than 24 hours it just gives me more comfort that we actually found him.

Thanks for all your comments they all helped, but we have decided not to get any more pets for the moment.
