I'd like to know what you all think. The game is an action-RPG that is open-world set in Ancient Greece. You start out as a demigod, a son of one of the 8 most powerful Gods (this affects your strengths and weaknesses). There are two major storylines. You can help the Gods seal up Tartarus (the pit where the Titans were imprisoned) by fighting your way to 5 sacred artifacts that can close it up, or help the Titans take back Olympus.
Completion of either storyline will result in your becoming of a God or a Titan, respectively. Your godly form is modeled after an existing major God or Titan, and whichever one you pick gifts you with two extremely strong, that-god-themed powers. Once you become a Supreme Being at the end, the game is basically open for you to do whatever you want. Gods and Titans can level buildings, are invincible, and can grow to 30 feet high or recruit warriors for their cause.
Within each of the major story paths are mini-storylines relating to each of the Gods. Completing those will earn you favor with the respective God or Titan from that quest and get you closer to the requirement for taking the place of that Deity.
The gameplay is somewhat of a mix between simple but extendable combat and an exploration component. X and Y handle Melee and Ranged/Magic attacks (depending on your Deity of choice), B is a block or counter, and A is a dash. Having to explore and find things in the game world is a major component, so by hitting the Right Trigger you can enter Divine Vision This is somewhat related to Eagle Vision , but much more informative. You can see paths to the next main quest, or zoom out and see points of interest (what is there is not revealed, that's for you to find out).
There are certain advantages and disadvantages to picking a side of the God-Titan war. Titans can grow to huge sizes and are generally much more powerful than Gods, but if you complete the game on the Titan side, the Gods will still attack you as a sort of Police system. If you become a God, then you are free to do whatever you want without interruption from the Titans.
During the actual game, before you become a Diety your special Divine abilities will be mapped to LB and RB. Both those, and your weapons will receive augments to their damage and other factors throughout the game.
The game takes place during the Trojan War and the Athens-Sparta war, and cities in the game will be such as Olympus, Tartarus, Athens, Sparta, Thessaly, Thermopylae, some made-up port cities, and dungeon-type areas such as the Labyrinth, the Underworld, and others.
Sooo....what do you guys think?
