Yeah, I have no-one to talk to, because her computer time is insanely limited. SOOOO BOOOOOORED! I also need more friends. Or people to chat with. Does anyone have tips on places to meet people?

Other than comiccon? I meet people there but there isn't another one until she's back, so it's a little redundant....

Try volunteering , various classes . But just going there wont automatically get you friends you need to take a risk and actually try to make some( not too hard though ) , start a conversation , open up a tad , make sure you aint subconsciously pushing people away.

First of all: Change the title. It's attention seeking and can get you in trouble with the mods for tricking people.
As for finding new friends? I dunno, join a group here on the escapist, see if you can get a game with anyone.

Fair point RE the name, thanks actually, I was worried but didn't think it'd be a thing.

Well, you know, there's this secret place I've heard discussed in hushed tones... it's called The Real World. Sounds pretty scary though.

Seriously though: you can meet people through your studies, work, sports clubs or the gym, social clubs and societies, bars, nightclubs, volunteering... whatever. The world is your oyster.

Might I start by asking what you do for a living, or if you're a student? Do you have any hobbies? These are all good starting-points.

I'm a student, and I'm into comics, videogames, cosplaying, all that sort of nerdy stuff. Only problem is, the school I'm going to isn't exactly Friendly to people like that so It's kind of a pain in the ass to socialise there...

There are no other nerds/gamers/scifi/comic fans? Nowai. Perhaps you need to look a bit harder.

Also look outside of school. Find a comic shop, tag along to the friendly local games store, see if there are local LARP clubs, whatever. Also consider trying some new stuff out. What about taking up a sport, or doing some arts and crafts? Get a part time job, or volunteer?

Just aim to spend more time outside with real people than you spend of the internet. Good luck man, you can do it.

As to the first bit Yahwai. Seriosuly, this is a school where 80% of the students were involved with the london riots, 19% were already convicted of something during and I am infact, the 1%.

With the other stuff, good suggestion, I shall look into it, thanks.

You're the 1% in a London school that probably has between 1,000 and 3,000 kids? Doing the maths that gives us between 10 and 30 other kids just like you!

Seriously though, head to the comic store, there's a bloody good chance the people there might just like comics. Head to some video game stores, head to any of the huge number of conventions or regular fan meets. Hell, you're in LONDON, you're far from being miles away from other alternatives, nerds and gamers. Head outside instead of moping about online over some friend going to boarding school.
