So despite the fact that i thought i'd deactivated it (i haven't paid for or played it since December 2006), i just happen to chance along an email from Blizzard the other day informing me there has been some 'suspicious log-ins' from several different IP addresses, and as a precaution my account has been locked.
It's here were i'm unsure whether or not i should care, as i havent played it in so long and i have no desire to pick it back up. However i'm unable to get my account back to properly delete it myself as i don't have a battlenet account as far as i'm aware (was this brought in at some point after Dec 06?), and Blizzard won't let me start to proceedings to get it back without things like my email address which for some reason is not accepted.
I've already taken the precaution to change my email password, and i actually changed debit cards/details last year so the payment details on my profile should not longer be valid anyway.
I'm just curious if i should in fact go through the effort and trouble of making sure my account is properly deleted or whether i should be ok to just leave it frozen?
