Been a long time since I really checked out a Zelda game, but, this one looks nice to me. That said, the REASON it's been a long time since I checked out a Zelda game is that I have damage to my hands that mean that using motion controls or handheld devices isn't possible for me. So while I'd probably love to have this game ... given it's being made by Nintendo, on the Wii U, I probably literally won't be able to play it.
It has been confirmed that you can play this on a Pro Controller so Gyro controls should be able to turn off. (Though I'm not sure you have gyro controls tbh).
Wow -- that would be really awesome, actually. I won't quite believe it till it's out, probably (I usually take the tactic of expecting the worst and being pleasantly surprised if it doesn't occur), and I sure won't buy it until I can get feedback from someone else who's actually played the game (better safe than sorry). But man, it'd be nice to be able to play a new Zelda game for the first time since, well Twilight Princess! :)

It might just be like Tropical Freeze, where the second screen is literally just turned off.
they literally already confirmed that the Touch Screen will be used to display your map way back at the video game awards in 2014.

and i HIGHLY doubt that they won't use it for other stuff like item organisation as well.

I guess a lot of the Nintendo games I've shown interest in have had the problems I've listed, and I should've generalized less. Sorry.

That said, I really wish my hand issues were a special case. There's carpal tunnel in my family, and not a single one of us can use the tablet controller or motion controls without problems. Normal controls/controllers, however, aren't a problem. I feel like we can't be the only people in the world who are locked out such games because of these design choices. Anyone with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or similar hand/arm issues is likely going to struggle with these kinds of controls. That's a surprising number of potential customers who get locked out.

However, I wasn't exactly trying to pin fault; I guess I was just venting. I'm sorry if I upset anyone. There are too many things in life I can't do because of physical problems, and video games designers seldom even think about making their games accessible to people with disabilities. It's frustrating when I'm cut off from things I love because of circumstances beyond my control, on top of everything else I can't do. I used to be the biggest Zelda fan you could ever find ... until I couldn't play their games anymore, years ago. It was like losing a best friend, in a lot of ways. And I guess it's made me a bit bitter.

Looks pretty nice like a mix between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Ofcourse it's Zelda; didn't expect them too stray too much from another variation of the same setting, a soft tune of pianos and flutes, the child like wonderment and innocence of the franchise and the cartoony vibe of the modern titles. It's...classic Zelda for another generation. Really enjoyed A Link Between Worlds on 3DS so I have no doubt Nintendo still knows how to make properly fun Zelda titles.
