...Maddox is one person, as a short google search would inform you. Secondly, he's a satirist, as Wikipedia will inform you. (Notice the pattern.)
Thirdly, I never said anything about the PS2 or PS3 controller, having only experience with the former.
This last bit really bothers me: I never mentioned anything about the other console controllers. I don't know where you got that from.
Is you're answer for real?
Firstly, how the fuck does it matter if I say "Maddox is gh3y" or "those Maddox guyz are gh3y"?
That's not the point what I was trying to get across.

Secondly, I already said I know that it's probably sarcastic, so I didn't actually understand what you were trying to say with this whole "pattern" and "he's a satirist, Wekeepedia, durrhurr" thing.

Thirdly, (as a Google search would show you) the PS3 and PS2 controllers are almost identical.

And for the fourth sentence of yours, I can reply the same I said in my last sentence - The Playstation controllers are almost identical (excluding the first Playstation 1 controllers, which were without Dual Shocks)

And one thing I just can't get off my mind, is - why do you talk so much about the PS2's controller, when I didn't say a word about? Well, except talking about a person that doesn't like the 360's controller because he has been accustomed to the tiny Playstation controllers, and here I referred to all the controllers of the Playstations, not the Playstation 2.
Its ironic that you tell people to go search the net for the back up to your argument but you throw a hissy fit when someone tells you to do the same.

..I just have one thing to say: I have never, ever seen the Xbox controller hailed as "ergonomic" or, fuck, even "comfortable."
I have, however, heard things like "bigger than my nuts" (Maddox) and "could drop it on a cat and break it's spine" (Maddox again) and "is a deadly weapon" (my friend, Xbox owner.)
I actually prefer the X-Box controller to the Play Station controller. That wasn't the case with the origianl X-Box controller of course, but I thinkt those were designed for gorilla's anyway.

I can certainly tolerate the Play Station controller fine, but given a choice I would almost certainly choose the X-Box design.

Wait, what?

Oh, it's you.

EDIT: Seriously, if this was directed at me, then you should know that I've never told anyone to go search something on Google.
Maybe you just had a bad day.

Well, I have to adree with you.

I'm a PSX-raised Console gamer owning a PC that plays vast majority of the games with the Xbox360 controller. And I have a Wii.

Like you said, PS3 is a good console. I played it at my friends house, and I loved it... but the controllers were frustrating.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get used to them. Too small, too light and buttons were hard to actally hit.
Just didn't feel natural.
That probably means something, considering I've grown up with the PSX.

The fact that the PS3 don't come with a headset is really annoying, and i can't find a PS3 headset anywhere. And yes, the whole HDMI thing can be annoying as well, but trust me, it's worth it.
The ps3 uses any USB or Bluetooth headset you can find.
Plus an official bluetooth one is coming out this month at the same time as SOCOM ps3.
See, that's just stupid. As is not coming with HD out of the box. Xbox's come with a wired headset, and there's a standard MS headset that's pretty solid.

Also, the hell is a USB headset? I've not seen one of those, only those designed to be plugged into computers, with two plugs, or the kind for cell phones, with one, like the xbox uses. Nevermind that the PS3 uses the mini USB port, and the USB cable that comes with it doesn't reach my table, it being only two feet long, unlike the 360's which not only allows for battery switching, but being able to sit on the couch and charge my controller.

Also, I find the PS3 controller to be far too light, and am unaware that I am even holding it. I find my XBOX's controller to be far more comfortable.

So I had to shell out another $80 bucks to get my HD on. Maybe other versions came with HDMI cable (mine is the 80GB), I don't know, but that was a big cock slap in the face.
I paid pennies for mine.

...Okay...you're just not making any sense. I never mentioned the Playstation controllers, as far as I know.
I only addressed the fact that the original Xbox controllers were ridiculously large. That's all. Unless I'm just forgetting something.
Yes, you're forgetting alot. You didn't say the word "Xbox" not even once, but you did say that you only have experience with the PS3's controller, not the PS2's.

The Xbox 360 controller is perfect. The PS3 controller felt tiny and fragile to me and I have little girly hands. I'm even starting to favour the 360 pad over the keyboard & mouse combo, that I've used for at least 10 years.

Your criticisms are completely valid. I?m a ps3 owner myself ( and im almost ashamed to admit at times can be a tiny fanboyish?I know I know im embarrassed for myself) but the controller design has always been my biggest criticism of the console. It lets you plug in a keyboard, no games to my knowledge support them. As for the HDMI thing that?s kind of weird, I swear there was one in my ps3 box. No joke! did I just get lucky or something? Were they part of the package when they were first released?

and definitely the one that I think was best for shooters, was the N64. If you could set it up and competently use the c buttons for movement it was the shit.[/quote]

Yeah, I loved the N64 one, especially the trigger on the back. It made GoldenEye headshots so much more rewarding.

Overall I like the PS one the most. It's a bit egdy but really gets the job done. It's funny using a PS1 controler for a change again, it's light as a feather

Secondly, the PS3 controller is the greatest controller ever made bar none! Not only is it functional, sensibly designed, but it has the pros of nostalgia and familiarity - it is virtually unchanged from the PSX controller.
I hate it. I never had a PSX or PS2 so it isn't familiar or anything. It's just awkward.
The 360 controller, however, is amazing to me.

So, it's just different tastes. It might be the 'greatest controller ever' for YOU, but certainly not for everyone.
That's only because you're used to the 360 controller. If you're used to it I don't even think the nintendo 64 controller is awkward for everyone. Only thing that's awkward for everyone is the gamestop PS3 wired controller (I prefer wired controllers because I can't lose them, my dad knows that and bought my controllers but I prefer wireless to that shit). By the way, if anyone thinks I'm overreacting, They moved the R2 and L2 buttons like 2 inches down. Making them almost impossible to hit.
Problem nubmer 2 - for the love of god sony, update you damn controler. The average gamer is 18-30, we are not 10yo kids with tiny hands. In the contest of best/most ergonimic controler, xbox wins easily.
There is no problem with the wireless-sony made controller. My hands are pretty big and could hold it fine. Sure they could make it a little bigger but I want them to keep their controller the same other than that(and maybe they could move the center button to somewhere harder to get to since I tend to hit it if I decide for some reason to mash or the game has one of the QTEs where you have to rapidly press a button).

Yes, there were bundles that came with an HDMI cable, but when they did the price drop, they droped the cables (no component cable either).

And now that I have been playing PS3 for a little while, I will let you all know what I think of the PS3 exclisives.

LBP is amazing, tons of fun online (wish people had headsets though).

Resistance 1, not impressed, reminds me of a halo clone with better weapon design. If it didn't own Resistance 2 and want to know what happens in the story of Resistance 1, I would stop playing it and trade it back now.

Heavenly Sword, very good, but very short.

Any other exclusives you guys would recomend? I know MGS4, but I haven't played a MG game since the NES, so story-wise I would be completely lost (or would I?)

I don't think MGS4 is all that story based
I would stop playing it and trade it back now.
suggestion, sell it on ebay or amazon if you do. They normally give a lot more money than any store, and according to current ebay prices you'll be able to get any game you want for the combined amount.

My first post in this thread is all about the Xbox controller.
Oh. I see. Well, hmm. And I thought you were talking about the Xbox 360's controller, that's why I started this whole "you're wrong" thing that has been going on here.
I'm sorry. Yes, the original Xbox's controller sucked.
